Chargers' JaQuae Jackson: Signs futures deal with Chargers
The Chargers signed Jackson to a reserve/futures contract Tuesday.
Jackson will be a member of the Chargers' 90-man roster once the NFL offseason officially begins Feb. 9, which gives him the opportunity to participate in OTAs and minicamp. He was a member of the Chargers' practice squad for the entire 2025 season after he was unable to crack the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Jackson has yet to appear in a regular-season game since entering the league in April of 2024 as an undrafted free agent.

JaQuae Jackson: Joins Bolts' practice squad
The Chargers signed Jackson to their practice squad Wednesday.
Jackson was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday, but he's already back with the team as a member of the practice squad. The 53-man roster for 2025 will likely be thin at wide receiver, so Jackson could be closer to NFL snaps than the average practice squad wideout.

Chargers' JaQuae Jackson: Bolts to Los Angeles
The Chargers signed Jackson to a contract Friday.
Jackson had a solid chance to make the Patriots' 53-man roster in 2024 before suffering a season-ending, non-contact knee injury during New England's second preseason game last August. He was let go by the Patriots in April, and while he wasn't able to catch on with a team during the offseason, he'll now have the opportunity to audition his talents with the Chargers. He faces an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster, but a strong showing in practices and preseason games could earn Jackson a spot on the practice squad.

JaQuae Jackson: Dropped by New England
Jackson (knee) was waived by the Patriots on Monday.
Jackson originally signed with the Patriots in June 2024 but was sidelined for all of last year due to a knee injury. He was dropped without an injury designation Monday, suggesting he's now moved past his knee issue. The Rutgers product has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game after posting 22 catches for 361 yards and one touchdown across 13 games during his final collegiate season in 2023.

Patriots' JaQuae Jackson: Staying in New England
Jackson (knee) agreed to a contract with the Patriots on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
After going undrafted out of Rutgers last spring, Jackson initially signed with the Falcons before being cut in June and then catching on with New England. Though the wideout impressed New England's coaching staff during training camp, his hopes of making the 53-man roster ended after he suffered a non-contact knee injury during the Patriots' second preseason game. Jackson spent the entire season on injured reserve, but the 25-year-old will be brought back in the fold for 2025 and could get a chance to compete for a roster spot once again this spring and summer.

Patriots' JaQuae Jackson: X-rays negative, MRI next
New England head coach Jerod Mayo said X-rays on Jackson (knee) came back negative, but he'll get an MRI on Friday, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Jackson suffered a non-contact knee injury in New England's Thursday preseason game against Philadelphia. The X-rays coming back negative is a positive for the wide receiver, but the MRI results should provide more insight on the nature and severity of the issue.
