Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Breakout performance in Week 2 win
Waddle brought in eight of 10 targets for 138 yards in the Broncos' 20-13 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
After a completely non-descript Broncos debut in Week 1, Waddle bounced back with a signature performance in Denver's come-from-behind victory. The veteran wideout led his team in all of receptions, receiving yards and targets by a wide margin, and the highlight of his afternoon was a spectacular 49-yard contested catch early in the second quarter that took the ball down to the Jaguars' one-yard line. The caliber of performance was emblematic of why the Broncos traded for Waddle this offseason, and it may serve as a launchpad for his role in the offense moving forward.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Nearly blanked in Broncos debut
Waddle brought in one of three targets for two yards in the Broncos' 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
Waddle's regular-season Broncos debut was as miserable as his final line suggests, as the prominent offseason addition finished last in receptions and yards among Denver players that recorded at least one catch. One of the two targets Waddle couldn't corral was a key third-down drop early in the third quarter, although he was hardly the only underwhelming component of a pass-catching corps that produced a modest 131 total receiving yards. More productive performances are surely ahead for Waddle and the Broncos' air attack, with the first opportunity for atonement coming in a Week 2 home showdown against the Jaguars on Sunday.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Expected to play all over formation
Broncos OC Davis Webb said Aug. 25 that Waddle is "going to play everywhere" on offense this season, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
"He's going to play everywhere," Webb said. "He's really really good. He's going to play everywhere. Except offensive line." Coach Sean Payton has been moving Waddle all over the formation during training camp, and he recently beat Patrick Surtain for a 60-yard touchdown in practice. Payton added that Waddle "walks on water" with his traits. Acquired from the Dolphins over the offseason, Waddle missed some time early in camp with tightness. He's looking like a potential home run pick in the third and fourth rounds of fantasy drafts. Waddle is expected to be the engine of the Denver offense.
