Chiefs' Nick Bolton: Team-high 13 stops in Week 2 win
Bolton registered 13 tackles (six solo) during the Chiefs' 33-30 overtime win over the Colts on Sunday.
Bolton was one of four Chiefs players to play all 65 defensive snaps during Sunday's OT win, with the sixth-year pro also playing seven snaps on special teams. It was the 24th time in Bolton's NFL career that he recorded double-digit tackles, and his 13 takedowns were his most in a game since Week 3 of the 2025 season against the Giants (14). Bolton is up to 17 combined tackles through two regular-season games and will look to stay busy in a Week 3 road tilt against the Dolphins on Sept. 27.

Chiefs' Nick Bolton: Plays every snap in Week 1 win
Bolton posted four tackles (two solo) and a pass defense during the Chiefs' 31-10 win over the Broncos on Sunday.
Bolton's four tackles would have been his second-lowest total of the 2025 regular season (two in Week 7 against the Raiders), though he still finished tied for the third-most tackles on the Chiefs behind L'Jarius Sneed (eight) and Drue Tranquill (seven). Even with Kansas City holding a commanding lead in the fourth quarter, Bolton still played all 51 defensive snaps, so he should have plenty of opportunities to put up larger numbers in the box score this season. He's logged at least 100 tackles in four of his six years in the NFL, and he finished the 2025 campaign with 154 tackles (73 solo), including 1.0 sacks, six pass defenses (including an interception) and one forced fumble across 17 regular-season games.

Bolton retained his role as the Chiefs' top linebacker after they signed him to a three-year, $45 million contract back in March, and he led the team in total tackles for the second straight year. In fact, his season tackle total was tied for the seventh-best in the league. He has reestablished himself as one of the better linebackers in the NFL and projects as a strong IDP option for 2026.
