  • Seth Williams: Joins Cowboys' practice squad

Dallas signed Williams to its practice squad Wednesday. Williams didn't make the cut for the Jaguars' 53-man roster ahead of the regular season, but now he's getting a fresh shot with the Cowboys. The team only has five healthy wideouts on its active roster right now, so it's not out of the question that Williams could be elevated sooner rather than later.

  • Jaguars' Seth Williams: Signs deal with Jacksonville

The Jaguars signed Williams to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Selected by the Broncos in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Williams played in two games for Denver as a rookie, catching his lone target for a 34-yard gain. He hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since. Williams caught seven of eight targets for 109 scoreless yards last preseason and spent time on the Jaguars' practice squad.

  • Seth Williams: Joins Jaguars practice squad

Williams is staying in Jacksonville via its practice squad. Williams spent the 2022 season on the Jaguars' practice squad, and he is entering a nearly identical situation this year. The 23-year-old was competing against a plethora of pass catchers during training camp, but ultimately ended up as the odd man out. He will now continue competing at practice while awaiting an opportunity to get called up to the active roster.

  • Seth Williams: Let go Tuesday

The Jaguars waived Williams on Tuesday, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports. Williams was a sixth-round pick in 2021 by Denver, but he failed to make the Broncos' initial 53-man roster last year after appearing in just two games as a rookie. The wideout spent all of 2022 on Jacksonville's practice squad but was never elevated. Williams could be looking at a similar role in 2023 if he clears waivers.

Williams, who was waived by Denver prior to the NFL's 53-man roster deadline, will now provide added depth for Jacksonville should any of the team's wide receivers miss time. During his rookie campaign, Williams struggled to produce on the stat sheet, as he caught just one pass for 34 yards in two games played.

  • Broncos' Seth Williams: Signs with active roster

Williams signed with the Broncos' active roster from the practice squad Monday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports. Swanson's report adds that head coach Vic Fangio was impressed with Williams' performance, which earned him the active roster spot. He'll look to make an impact in Week 18 against the Chiefs.

  • Broncos' Seth Williams: Bumped up from practice squad

Williams was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Friday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports. Williams will have a chance to play a significant role Sunday against the Chargers. With Jerry Jeudy (illness) and Tim Patrick (illness) currently on the COVID list, and Courtland Sutton possibly joining them, the Broncos could be down their top three wideouts. This would place Williams as high as third on the positional depth chart, behind Kendall Hinton and Diontae Spencer. Williams was a 2021 sixth-round selection out of Auburn who has yet step on an NFL field this season.

  • Seth Williams: Restored from COVID list

Williams (illness) has returned to the Broncos' practice squad from the practice squad COVID-19 list, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports. Williams reportedly tested positive for the virus, so his return indicates he has provided two consecutive negative tests 24 hours apart. He will now return to practice per usual.

  • Seth Williams: Waived by Denver

The Broncos waived Williams on Monday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports. Williams impressed over three years at Auburn, recording 132 receptions for 2,124 yards and 17 touchdowns across 33 games. The 21-year-old has an NFL frame (6-foot-2, 211 pounds) and solid speed (4.49 40-yard dash), but he couldn't find a role in Denver's deep receiver corps. With two weeks until the regular season, it wouldn't be surprising to see another team take a chance on him on waivers.
