Packers' Thomas Yassmin: Signs with Green Bay
The Packers signed Yassmin to a one-year contract Tuesday.
The Australian from the University of Utah joined the NFL through the International Player Pathway program. He spent time with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2024 before joining the Chargers' practice squad in 2025. Yassmin has yet to appear in an NFL game, and advancement up the Packers' depth chart will be hard to come by due to the team's stellar tight end depth between Tucker Kraft (knee), Luke Musgrave (undisclosed) and Josh Whyle.

The Chargers waived Yassmin on Tuesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Yassmin is headed to waivers after spending the 2025 campaign on the Chargers' practice squad. The 26-year-old has yet to make his NFL debut.

Chargers' Thomas Yassmin: Inked to Bolts' 90-man roster
The Chargers signed Yassmin to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
Yassmin spent the entire 2025 season on the Chargers' practice squad after initially being cut from the roster at the end of training camp. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game since entering the league in May of 2024 as an undrafted free agent. Yassmin will be a member of the Chargers' 90-man roster once the offseason begins, which will allow him to participate in OTAs and minicamp and make a positive impression with the coaching staff before training camp commences in July.

The 25-year-old spent last season on the Broncos' practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract with the team in January. Yassmin was waived by the Broncos on Monday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
The tight end from Sydney, Australia signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent May 11 of last year, hung on with the team through 2024 as a member of its practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract in January. Now, he'll have to look elsewhere for his next opportunity. In 2023, his final collegiate season at Utah, Yassmin caught eight passes for 89 yards and a touchdown across five games.

Yassmin signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent May 11, and he did not count against Denver's 90-man roster due to being designated as an international player exemption. He spent the entire 2024 season on the Broncos' practice squad, and while he wasn't elevated to the active roster, he'll have the whole offseason to hone his skills and compete for a spot on the 53-man roster for the 2025 campaign.
