Yassmin signed with the Packers in late July through the NFL's International Player Pathway program. The tight end participated in the Packers' first two preseason games, catching his sole target for six yards. The Australian missed Friday's preseason finale due to an unknown injury and will now be placed on waivers. If Yassmin goes unclaimed, he will revert to the Packers' injured reserve list. Once on IR, the tight end will spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season there unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

The Australian from the University of Utah joined the NFL through the International Player Pathway program. He spent time with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2024 before joining the Chargers' practice squad in 2025. Yassmin has yet to appear in an NFL game, and advancement up the Packers' depth chart will be hard to come by due to the team's stellar tight end depth between Tucker Kraft (knee), Luke Musgrave (undisclosed) and Josh Whyle.

Yassmin spent the entire 2025 season on the Chargers' practice squad after initially being cut from the roster at the end of training camp. Now, he'll have to look elsewhere for his next opportunity. In 2023, his final collegiate season at Utah, Yassmin caught eight passes for 89 yards and a touchdown across five games.
