  • Packers' Thomas Yassmin: Reverts to IR

Green Bay reverted Yassmin (undisclosed) to injured reserve Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Yassmin was waived/injured Sunday and went unclaimed on waivers. The Australian tight end has yet to play in an NFL game and will miss the entire 2026 season while on IR unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Packers.

  • Thomas Yassmin: Let go with injury designation

The Packers waived/injured Yassmin (undisclosed) on Sunday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports. Yassmin signed with the Packers in late July through the NFL's International Player Pathway program. The tight end participated in the Packers' first two preseason games, catching his sole target for six yards. The Australian missed Friday's preseason finale due to an unknown injury and will now be placed on waivers. If Yassmin goes unclaimed, he will revert to the Packers' injured reserve list. Once on IR, the tight end will spend the entirety of the 2026 regular season there unless he is waived with an injury settlement.

  • Packers' Thomas Yassmin: Signs with Green Bay

The Packers signed Yassmin to a one-year contract Tuesday. The Australian from the University of Utah joined the NFL through the International Player Pathway program. He spent time with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2024 before joining the Chargers' practice squad in 2025. Yassmin has yet to appear in an NFL game, and advancement up the Packers' depth chart will be hard to come by due to the team's stellar tight end depth between Tucker Kraft (knee), Luke Musgrave (undisclosed) and Josh Whyle.

  • Chargers' Thomas Yassmin: Inked to Bolts' 90-man roster

The Chargers signed Yassmin to a reserve/future contract Tuesday. Yassmin spent the entire 2025 season on the Chargers' practice squad after initially being cut from the roster at the end of training camp. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game since entering the league in May of 2024 as an undrafted free agent. Yassmin will be a member of the Chargers' 90-man roster once the offseason begins, which will allow him to participate in OTAs and minicamp and make a positive impression with the coaching staff before training camp commences in July.

Yassmin was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday. Yassmin joined the team Aug. 7 as a part of the NFL's International Player Pathway training program, failing to make an appearance in any of the team's remaining preseason games following his arrival. The tight end spent the 2024 campaign as a member of the Broncos' practice squad, and he will likely operate in the same role with the Chargers or another organization this season.

Yassmin was waived by the Broncos on Monday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. The tight end from Sydney, Australia signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent May 11 of last year, hung on with the team through 2024 as a member of its practice squad and signed a reserve/future contract in January. Now, he'll have to look elsewhere for his next opportunity. In 2023, his final collegiate season at Utah, Yassmin caught eight passes for 89 yards and a touchdown across five games.

  • Thomas Yassmin: Will have chance to develop

Yassmin signed with the Broncos' practice squad Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. Yassmin joined Denver as an undrafted free agent out of Utah in the spring. The 24-year-old didn't play during the preseason and saw limited action while in college as well, but by securing a spot on the practice squad, he appears to have shown some promise.
