Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Re-signs for two years, $5 million
Holcomb is re-signing with the Steelers on a two-year, $5 million contract, DK Pittsburgh Sports reports Monday.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Practices in full
Holcomb (illness) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.
Holcomb has not played since Week 8 due to a lingering illness, but he appears back to full health ahead of Sunday's road matchup against the Bears. Barring any setbacks, expect the veteran linebacker to resume handling a key role on defense for Pittsburgh in Week 12.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Out for Sunday
Holcomb (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Holcomb managed to practice in a limited fashion Thursday before ultimately reverting to a DNP in Friday's session, which led to the linebacker being ruled out for Sunday's game. The 29-year-old was unable to return to football shape this week and will have to look to the Steelers' Week 12 road matchup with the Bears to get back on the field. With Holcomb out, Malik Harrison or Payton Wilson will likely get the start at inside linebacker opposite Patrick Queen.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Ruled out for Week 10
Holcomb (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
An illness will prevent Holcomb from playing in a second straight game, and his next opportunity to play is Week 11 against the Bengals on Sunday, Nov. 16. Payton Wilson started at inside linebacker in the Steelers' Week 9 win over the Colts and led the team with 14 tackles (10 solo) and an interception. Wilson will likely draw the start in Week 10 in Holcomb's absence while Malik Harrison provides depth at the position.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Still no practice
Holcomb (illness) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Holcomb missed the Steelers' Week 9 contest with the same illness. It's not a great sign that he's still sidelined, though he'll still have two days to log some practice activity ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chargers.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Downgraded to out
Holcomb (illness) has been downgraded and ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts, Burt Lauten of the Steelers' official site reports.
The 29-year-old from North Carolina was unable to practice both Thursday and Friday due to an illness, so it's no surprise that he won't suit up Sunday. While Holcomb misses his first game of the season in Week 9, expect Malik Harrison to play an expanded role in Pittsburgh's inside linebacker corps.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Questionable for Week 9
Holcomb (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports.
Holcomb was added to the injury report Thursday and was unable to practice Thursday or Friday, putting his status for Week 9 in question. Payton Wilson would likely be in line to fill in at linebacker if Holcomb is unable to play.
