Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux: Done for season
The Giants placed Thibodeaux (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday.
Thibodeaux will miss the remainder of the 2025 campaign due to a shoulder injury he initially sustained in Week 10. With Thibodeaux sidelined for New York's final three games, rookie first-round pick Abdul Carter will continue handling a starting role alongside Brian Burns. Thibodeaux finishes his fourth NFL season with 25 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two pass breakups over 10 appearances.

Giants' Kayvon Thibodeaux: Remains out Sunday
Thibodeaux (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Vikings, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
The 2022 first-round pick from Oregon didn't practice throughout the week and is now in line to miss his fifth game in a row due to a shoulder injury. In 10 appearances this season, Thibodeaux has tallied 25 total tackles, including 2.5 sacks, and two passes defensed. While he remains sidelined in Week 16, expect rookie Abdul Carter to start opposite Brian Burns.

Thibodeaux (shoulder) did not practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Thibodeaux has been sidelined for the team's last four contests while nursing a shoulder issue, and he has yet to return to practice. If the 25-year-old is going to play in Week 16, he'll likely have to return to practice in some capacity before Sunday's matchup with the Vikings.

Thibodeaux (shoulder) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Matt Citak of the Giants' official site reports.
Thibodeaux hasn't suited up since Week 10 versus the Bears, and even coming out of New York's bye in Week 14, there's not yet any indication that he's close to retaking the field. As long as Thibodeaux remains sidelined, rookie first-round pick Abdul Carter will operate as one of the Giants' top pass rushers alongside Brian Burns.

Thibodeaux's last game action took place in Week 10 against Chicago. He hasn't practiced since, and his continued absence following New York's Week 14 bye doesn't bode well for his chance of returning to action this Sunday against the Commanders. Still, the Giants have opted to not put Thibodeaux on IR to this point, suggesting that they believe he isn't going to remain out for a substantial amount of additional time.
