Jonathan Kongbo: Allowed to enter market
Kongbo was not tendered a contract Wednesday and is an unrestricted free agent, per the NFL's communications site.
Kongbo appeared in three games for the Broncos in 2022 after overcoming a groin injury, and he earned 54 defensive snaps and 32 snaps on special teams. He tallied one total tackle and should find a depth role around the league in 2023.

Kongbo worked out for the Broncos on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
The defensive end was waived by the 49ers in September after he was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. It appears that Kongbo is healthy going into the 2022 offseason and will look to find a new team.

The 49ers waived Kongbo (groin) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Kongbo spent the entire 2019 season on injured reserve. He'll avoid that fate this time around, but he'll need to get healthy before signing with another team.

If he passes through waivers, Kongbo could rejoin the 49ers but would spend the remainder of the season on the reserved/injured list. He originally signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January after a stint in the CFL.
