Josh Love: Released from practice squad
Love was released from the Panthers' practice squad Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Sam Darnold was in concussion protocols ahead of Week 9, so Love was signed to the Panthers' practice squad as a precaution. With Darnold healthy, Carolina has elected to move on from the 24-year-old quarterback.

Josh Love: Joining Panthers' practice squad
Carolina is signing Love to the practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Love will get a chance with the Panthers while Sam Darnold (concussion) remains in the league's protocol for brain injuries. The former San Jose State standout spent time with the Rams during the 2020 offseason.

Josh Love: Cut loose by Rams
The Rams waived Love on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The undrafted free agent out of San Jose State enjoyed an impressive senior season, throwing for 3,923 yards, 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions over 12 games. He couldn't secure a backup job with the Rams, but there's still time to get on a roster before Week 1.
