The Eagles placed Huff (wrist) on injured reserve Friday. Huff will undergo surgery on his wrist and will miss a minimum of four games on injured reserve. • Eagles' Bryce Huff: Set for surgery

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said that Huff will undergo surgery on his left wrist Thursday and will miss multiple weeks, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Huff has been playing with a cast on for the last two games, but he'll ultimately get surgery to opt for a more permanent fix for the injury. According to Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer, it's not clear how long Huff will need to stay sidelined, but the expectation is that he'll have an opportunity to return toward the end of the season. Sirianni also said a decision hasn't been made whether Huff will go on injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games.

  • Eagles' Bryce Huff: Logs full practice Thursday

Huff (wrist) was listed as a full practice participant Thursday. Huff was diagnosed with a wrist injury following the Eagles' 28-23 win over the Jaguars this past Sunday. However, the issue doesn't appear to be severe since he was able to practice Thursday without limitations, and he should be able to suit up against Dallas on Sunday. In the seven games prior to his injury, Huff logged eight tackles (three solo), including 1.5 sacks.

  • Eagles' Bryce Huff: Dealing with hand injury

Huff has a hand injury that limited his snaps during Sunday's 28-23 win over the Jaguars, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. The linebacker needed treatment before the game, per Zangaro. Huff, who signed a three-year, $51.1-million deal in the offseason, only played more than 50 percent of the defensive snaps in two of Philadelphia's first seven games even before his injury. The former Jet has just eight tackles (three solo), including 1.5 sacks, on the year.

  • Eagles' Bryce Huff: Maintaining limited role

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Huff's role with the Eagles will continue to be the same Sunday against the Buccaneers, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Huff was considered a marque signing for the Eagles, inking a three-year, $51.1 million contract in March, coming off a career-best 10-sack season with the Jets in 2023. With that, an increased workload was expected, however, the Memphis product has continued to play a part-time role, which has seen him record just one assisted tackle through three games. What is not clear is whether this was always the plan or if Huff has failed to earn that extra time on the field. The 26-year-old averaged only 27 snaps per game on defense last season and is currently averaging about 25, so the difference in playing time is hardly significant. Huff's performance and workload over the coming weeks, starting in Week 4 against Tampa Bay, may answer that question.

  • Eagles' Bryce Huff: Headed to Philly

Huff is set to sign a three-year, $51.1 million contract with the Eagles on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Huff is coming off a 2023 campaign that saw him record a career-high 29 combined tackles and 10.0 sacks, which propelled him to sign what is expected to be the largest non-QB contract for an undrafted player in history. His presence should bolster a pass rush that finished 20th in the league last year with 43 sacks.

  • Jets' Bryce Huff: Gets seventh sack in nine games

Huff recorded two tackles (one solo), including a sack, in Sunday's 30-6 win over the Texans. Huff provided one of the five sacks in a dominant performance from New York's defense. He's up to seven sacks in what has been a breakout fourth NFL season, with that entire total coming over the past nine games.

  • Jets' Bryce Huff: Signs tender with New York

Huff signed his one-year tender with the Jets on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Huff had been a restricted free agent but will now return to New York for the upcoming campaign. The 25-year-old logged six tackles (four solo) and 3.5 sacks while playing on both defense and special teams last year. Now that he's back in the fold the 2020 undrafted free agent should continue to provide solid pass-rushing depth this coming season.

  • Jets' Bryce Huff: Ready for Week 1

Huff (oblique) was not listed on Wednesday's injury report, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports. Huff missed time in the preseason with an oblique injury, but he will be available for Sunday's game against the Ravens. The depth defensive end has racked up four total sacks in his last two seasons with the Jets.

  • Jets' Bryce Huff: Won't play Thursday

Huff (back) will not play in the Jets' Week 9 contest against the Colts on Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Huff will miss his second consecutive game in Week 9 after he missed the Jets' Week 8 win over the Bengals. The defensive end wasn't able to practice in any capacity this week, so there's no surprise with this injury designation. Expect Shaq Lawson to see a large role against the Colts on Thursday.
