Texans' Will Anderson: Double-digit sacks in 2025
Anderson registered 54 tackles, 12.0 sacks, and a touchdown over 17 regular-season games in 2025. He added three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Anderson established a new career high in sacks and recorded a second consecutive season with double-digit sacks. He and Danielle Hunter (15.0 sacks) at the opposite end of the defensive line were a lot for offensive lines and a big part of the Texans' top-ranked defense. Anderson's touchdown, his first in the NFL, came when he strip-sacked Seattle's Sam Darnold in the end zone and pounced on the ball during a Week 7 loss to the Seahawks. The edge rusher is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2026.

Texans' Will Anderson: Sets career high in sacks
Anderson tallied two tackles, including 1.0 sacks, against Las Vegas in a 23-21 Week 16 win Sunday.
Anderson's sack came late in the second quarter and resulted in a nine-yard loss. It pushed him up to 11.5 sacks on the campaign, surpassing his previous regular-season career high of 11.0 sacks, which he established last year. Anderson had gone a season-high three games without a sack prior to taking down Geno Smith in the backfield Sunday.

Texans' Will Anderson: Cleared to play vs. Kansas City
Anderson (chest) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Anderson produced a DNP-LP-FP practice log during Week 14 prep and has progressed enough in his recovery from a chest injury to fade an injury tag for Sunday's contest. The third-year pass rusher has accumulated 40 tackles (25 solo), including 10.5 sacks, three pass defenses, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries through 12 regular-season games.

Texans' Will Anderson: Limited in practice
Anderson (chest) was limited in practice Thursday.
Anderson appeared on the injury report last Thursday with a chest injury. However, it did not seem to impact his snap count in Week 13 versus the Colts. The 24-year-old's limited participation in practice Thursday is a positive sign for his availability in Sunday night's matchup against Kansas City. The third-year pro has 40 tackles (25 solo), including 10.5 sacks, and three pass breakups in 12 games this season.
