Seahawks' Bud Clark: Placed on injured reserve
The Seahawks placed Clark (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Clark fractured his ankle in Sunday's 19-16 preseason loss to the Titans and will need to miss multiple months. The safety's placement on IR means he will now miss the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement. The rookie second-rounder will likely stick it out on injured reserve and look to make his NFL debut in 2027.

Seahawks' Bud Clark: Out 'multiple months' with fractured ankle
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said that Clark will be out for "multiple months" after fracturing his right ankle in Sunday's 19-16 preseason loss to Tennessee, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
A rookie second-round pick, Clark had been working with the Seahawks' second-team defense for most of the summer but entered the starting lineup Sunday while Macdonald rested most of the team's usual starters. Clark ended up playing just one snap, as he was carted off the field on the Titans' opening drive and was later fitted for an air cast. With a multi-month absence on tap for Clark, he'll likely be moved to injured reserve prior to Week 1 and will hope to return at some point in the second half of the season.

Seahawks' Bud Clark: Snagged by Seahawks
The Seahawks selected Clark in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 64th overall.
Clark (6-foot-1, 188 pounds) boasts experience as a four-year starter at TCU plus significant versatility, having lined up in the box, at free safety and in the slot over the course of his collegiate career. Across his tenure as a starter with the Horned Frogs, Clark totaled 35 passes defensed including 15 interceptions. He also improved against the run over the last two seasons, totaling over 50 tackles in both 2024 and 2025. Clark, who will turn 25 years old in May, will likely contribute as the No. 3 man behind starting safeties Ty Okada and Julian Love in his rookie year.
