Top Zach Hyman News

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Picks up two assists

Hyman notched two assists and two shots on goal in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Canucks.

In Saturday's contest, Hyman set up goals by Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid ( on the power play). Hyman's two multi-point efforts this season have come over the last four games. The winger is up to three goals, four assists, 38 shots on net, 16 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 15 outings this season. He started slow, but he's looking more like himself now, and his spot in a potentially dangerous offense makes Hyman a must-start in fantasy as long as he avoids another prolonged slump.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Cashes in on fortunate bounce

Hyman scored a goal and added seven hits in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Golden Knights.

Hyman was able to read a bounce off the end boards and cash in for the Oilers' second tally. He's picked up four points over the last four games, with all three of his goals this season coming in that span. The winger is at five points, 36 shots on net, 16 hits, 10 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 14 contests. His early misfortune is starting to turn around, so Hyman should be capable of steady offense in a top-six role, especially once the Oilers solve their power-play problems.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Two points in Sunday's win

Hyman scored a power-play goal on three shots and added an assist in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flames.

Hyman deked around Dan Vladar and roofed a backhand from in close to restore the Oilers' lead at 10:10 of the third period. This was Hyman's second game in a row with a goal and his first multi-point effort of the season. Those are signs he's thawing out after an ice-cold start. The winger has four points, 33 shots on net, nine hits, eight PIM and a plus-7 rating through 12 contests this season.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Pots goal in win

Hyman scored a goal on two shots and went plus-3 in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Predators.

Hyman had the last goal of the game, which was his first tally this season. Both of his points have come over the last four contests. Hyman has added 30 shots on net, eight hits, eight PIM and a plus-6 rating. Given his shot volume is down only marginally compared to last year and his ice time remains steady, the 32-year-old winger should be capable of turning things around. That said, he'll likely be impacted by the absence of his regular center, Connor McDavid (ankle), who is out for 2-3 weeks.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Generates assist in win

Hyman logged an assist and six shots on goal in Friday's 4-0 win over the Penguins.

Hyman set up Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' goal 16 seconds into the third period. The helper was Hyman's first point in eight games this season. It's fair to say the winger has been vastly unlucky -- he has 23 shots on net but has yet to score, though some of that is regression from him shooting 18.6 percent during his 54-goal campaign in 2023-24. Hyman has maintained a top-line role and power-play time, and given the talent around him and his ability to play near the front of the net, he should get on track eventually.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Stuck on zero points

Hyman has not recorded a point over the Oilers' first six games.

Part of Hyman's slow start stems from the Oilers' shaky offense and unusual lack of power-play success. He's produced 14 shots on net, five hits, four PIM and a minus-1 rating, but the winger never went more than three games without a point during the regular season and playoffs in 2023-24. The good news is he's still averaging 19:42 of ice time per game, including 3:53 on the power play, so he remains in a position to turn things around. Just don't expect a repeat of last year's 54-goal regular season.

Hyman scored a goal and added three hits in Friday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 6.

Hyman's goal was his 16th of the playoffs, giving him the record for the most goals in a single postseason in the salary-cap era. He's picked up four points over his last three games after going scoreless in the first three contests of the Stanley Cup Finals. He's at 22 points, 88 shots on net, 52 hits and a plus-12 rating through 24 appearances.

Hyman scored a goal on three shots, logged four hits, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Panthers in Game 5.

Hyman deflected in an Evan Bouchard shot early in the second period. This was Hyman's first goal during the Stanley Cup Finals, but he's scored 15 times and added six assists over 23 playoff contests this year. • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Dishes pair of helpers

Hyman notched two assists, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Panthers in Game 4.

Hyman helped out on second-period tallies by Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse. The 32-year-old Hyman didn't have a point during the Stanley Cup Finals, as the Panthers had neutralized the Oilers' top players in the first three contests. However, they were all much better in Saturday's blowout victory. Hyman is up to 20 points, 84 shots on net, 47 hits and a plus-9 rating over 22 playoff outings. If the Oilers can gain traction on the power play, he should see an uptick in offense.

Hyman set up Leon Draisaitl's tally in the second period just after the Oilers killed off a penalty. It's often been goals over assists for Hyman this postseason -- he's scored 13 times and added four helpers through 16 contests. The star winger has added 68 shots on net, 38 hits and a plus-9 rating while remaining firmly in a top-line role.

Connor McDavid took a shot that banked in off Hyman's body at 2:02 of the first period. With four goals and an assist over his last five games, Hyman's offense is humming along at a fine pace. He's up to 13 tallies, 16 points, 63 shots on net, 34 hits and a plus-7 rating through 15 playoff contests while filling a top-line role.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: One of each Thursday

Hyman scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist, went plus-2 and added three hits in Thursday's 3-2 double-overtime win over the Stars in Game 1.

Hyman assisted on a Leon Draisaitl goal early in the second period and then scored one of his own later in the frame. The 31-year-old Hyman has scored in three straight games since going three contests without a point. The winger is up to 12 goals, three helpers, 54 shots on net, 33 hits and a plus-8 rating through 13 playoff outings. The Oilers' top players will be critical to their success in the Western Conference Finals against a balanced Stars roster, and Hyman is off to a strong start.
