Kraken's Jaden Schwartz: Facing extended absence
Schwartz (face) will be sidelined indefinitely, the Kraken announced Monday.
Schwartz has appeared in 42 games for Seattle this season, in which he has recorded 10 goals and 11 helpers, including three power-play points. If the 33-year-old winger doesn't return before the end of the 2026-27 campaign, he will end the year having recorded his lowest point total since 2021-22, when he was limited to just 21 points in 37 games.

Schwartz was cut on his face late in the first period after Nick Cousins lost his balance following a hit from Eeli Tolvanen. With the heroic twine finder, the 33-year-old winger has eight goals, 15 points and 40 shots on goal through 20 games this season. His scoring pace is on par with the best offensive season of his career -- the 2014-15 season with St. Louis -- when he posted 63 points in 75 regular-season games. Schwartz took a jump in production last season as well, which is a strong sign that his contributions are legit. His usage in multiple situations and goal-scoring potential make him a solid fantasy option in standard leagues and a must-own player in deep leagues.

Schwartz scored two goals, including an empty-netter, and registered an assist in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Jets.
Schwartz delivered his first multi-point effort of the 2025-26 campaign. He opened the scoring with a wrister just 2:28 into the second period and later doubled Seattle's lead with an empty-netter at 18:20 of the third frame. Schwartz would also set up Seattle's second empty-netter, courtesy of Jordan Eberle. The 33-year-old Schwartz is now up to eight points (four goals, four helpers) on eight games this season.
