  • Jets' Colin Miller: Handling part-time duties

Miller suited up for the fourth time in the last 10 games Tuesday in a 4-3 win over the Sharks, logging two PIM in 13:49 of ice time. Miller was a fixture on the third pairing early in the year, but the Jets started to fade in late November. That prompted head coach Scott Arniel to give some playing time to Dylan Coghlan and Ville Heinola, which has in turn led to Miller spending some games as a healthy scratch. The 32-year-old Miller has seven points, 34 shots on net, 34 hits, 22 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 27 appearances, but he hasn't earned a point since Nov. 14.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Snaps slump with assist

Miller notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Lightning. The helper put an end to Miller's longest dry spell of the season (five games). The 32-year-old has been productive for a third-pairing defenseman, earning seven points over 17 contests. He's added 22 shots on net, 26 hits, eight blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-8 rating while averaging 13:27 of ice time. While his role is limited, Miller has decent category coverage to help fantasy managers in deep formats.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Snags helper Friday

Miller produced an assist and went plus-2 in Friday's 6-2 win over the Blue Jackets. Miller has a goal and an assist over his last two games. The defenseman saw 15:07 of ice time Friday, the fourth time in 11 contests he's exceeded 15 minutes. The 32-year-old is firmly in a third-pairing role over Dylan Coghlan, with Miller contributed six points, 16 shots on net, 14 hits, six blocked shots and a plus-7 rating so far this season.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Finds twine in win

Miller scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Red Wings. Miller's goal was the Jets' closing tally, which came at 10:25 of the third period. The 32-year-old blueliner has done well from a third-pairing role so far, picking up two goals and three assists over 10 contests. He's added 16 shots on net, 13 hits, five blocked shots and a plus-5 rating. The Jets have fired on all cylinders early in the season, but this is Miller's best pace since he had a 41-point campaign in 2017-18 with Vegas, so he'll likely slow down over time.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Lights lamp Tuesday

Miller scored a goal on three shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blues. Miller has four points over his last three games, accounting for all of his offense this season. The defenseman has added 11 shots on net, 10 hits, three blocked shots and a plus-4 rating while holding down a spot on the third pairing. Miller's play has been strong enough to keep Dylan Coghlan in the press box as a healthy scratch, but Miller is unlikely to sustain his current scoring pace.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Generates two helpers Sunday

Miller logged two assists in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Penguins. Miller added two shots, four hits, two PIM and a plus-1 rating in 15:24 of ice time. The right-shot defenseman now has points in consecutive games after being held off the scoresheet for three contests to start the season. Miller is seeing bottom-pairing minutes while being deployed on the penalty kill.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Pockets assist in win

Miller provided an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Friday's 8-3 win over the Sharks. Miller set up a Josh Morrissey tally in the first period. While he's been a regular on the third pairing, Miller hasn't chipped in much production of any kind this season. He has one helper, a plus-2 rating, six shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots. The 31-year-old defenseman may eventually have to share his spot in the lineup with Dylan Coghlan, who has yet to make his season debut, or Logan Stanley (knee), who is nearing his anticipated return date after undergoing surgery to address a meniscus issue.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Scores in Friday's win

Muller scored a goal on three shots, levied three hits, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-2 win over the Flames. Miller strengthened his case to begin the year on the third pairing with a second-period goal Friday. He has five points over four preseason outings. Miller appears to have done enough to fend off fellow right-shot blueliner Dylan Coghlan, and the former's steady presence in all zones should help cover for the early absences of Logan Stanley (knee) and Ville Heinola (ankle). However, Miller typically won't produce enough offense to entice most fantasy managers.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Staying with Winnipeg

Miller signed a two-year, $3 million deal with the Jets on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Miller was sent from New Jersey to Winnipeg last season and will stick around on a two-year contract. The veteran blueliner was often a healthy scratch after the trade and he dressed in just five regular-season games with the Jets. Winnipeg's blue line is a bit thinner after losing Brenden Dillon, but Miller likely won't see more than a bottom-pair role. Miller has reached the 20-point mark only once in the last five years.

  • Jets' Colin Miller: Adds helper in season-ending loss

Miller recorded an assist, three shots on goal and five hits in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5. Miller played sparingly after the Jets acquired him from the Devils, though he managed two assists and 17 hits in six appearances for Winnipeg. Miller had nine points, 69 shots on net, 91 hits and a plus-8 rating over 46 regular-season outings between New Jersey and the Jets. He is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and he should be able to find an NHL deal as a possible third-pairing option, though his playing style is rarely friendly to fantasy managers.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Deposits goal

Miller scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Sharks. Miller snapped an eight-game point drought with his third-period tally. His goal was the first of four over 5:16 for the Devils as they ran away with the lead. The 31-year-old functioned as the seventh defenseman in the lineup Tuesday and has rarely seen more than a third-pairing role. He's at seven points, 59 shots on net, 71 hits, 31 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a plus-9 rating through 38 appearances this season.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Scratched for Thursday's loss

Miller was a healthy scratch for Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Rangers. Miller was out of the lineup for the first time since Jan. 22, as the Devils went with Luke Hughes, John Marino, Jonas Siegenthaler, Simon Nemec, Brendan Smith and Kevin Bahl on defense. The personnel change didn't yield any improvement, as New Jersey continues to be held back by a lackluster power play, which ranks last in the league since the calendar flipped to 2024 and went 0-for-5 in Thursday's loss. Miller's possible return to the lineup won't help on the man advantage, as he has just six points in 35 appearances this season, none of which have come on the power play.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Set to play Thursday

Miller (illness) is expected to play Thursday versus the Hurricanes, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. Miller missed Monday's game versus Vegas with the illness, but that appears to be the extent of his absence. The Devils brought up Daniil Misyul from AHL Utica and claimed Nick DeSimone off waivers from Calgary on Thursday, so Miller's spot in the lineup shouldn't be considered comfortable.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Dealing with illness

Miller (illness) won't be available to play Monday against Vegas, per Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site. Miller has contributed two goals, five points, 41 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and 36 hits across 25 outings this season. He will be replaced in the lineup Monday by Santeri Hatakka, who will make his New Jersey debut.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: First goals in 19 games

Miller scored twice Saturday in a 6-4 loss to Vancouver. Miller fired a slap shot from above the right circle in the second period that beat Thatcher Demko low blocker side. His other goal was much the same - low-blocker side, this time from the top of the left circle. The goals were Miller's first this season (19 games). He's never been able to replicate his brilliant 41-point campaign in Vegas' first year. There's no fantasy value in two goals and two assists in 19 games thus far.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Removed from IR

Miller (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Tuesday, per the NHL media site. Miller was a healthy scratch for the first five games of the season before missing the past 10 contests due to a lower-body injury. He will probably be scratched for Tuesday's matchup with Winnipeg. Miller had six goals, 21 points, 106 shots on net, 70 blocked shots and 108 hits in 79 appearances with Dallas last season.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Surfaces on IR

Miller (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, according to the NHL media site. Miller is expected to sit out a fifth straight game Sunday versus Minnesota due to a lower-body injury. Cal Foote has been serving as New Jersey's extra blueliner during Miller's absence.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Expected to miss more time

Miller (undisclosed) is expected to miss "a little bit of time," coach Lindy Ruff told Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site Monday. Miller was unavailable to play Friday against the Islanders after being injured in practice. He had been serving as a depth defender prior to getting hurt. The Devils recalled Cal Foote from AHL Utica on Monday to occupy that role until Miller is able to return.

  • Devils' Colin Miller: Acquired by Devils

New Jersey acquired Miller from Dallas on Saturday in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Miller produced six goals, 21 points, 106 shots on net, 70 blocked shots and 108 hits in 79 games with the Stars last season. He will provide the Devils with some defensive depth -- he'll likely serve on the third pairing when he's inserted into the lineup.

  • Stars' Colin Miller: Grabs first playoff helper

Miller recorded an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kraken in Game 2. This was Miller's first point in five playoff appearances this year. He lost his spot in the lineup to Joel Hanley late in the first round, but it's been Miller and Thomas Harley on the third pairing to begin the second round. Miller's added six shots on net, four hits, four blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in the playoffs.
