  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Snags helper in win

Rielly logged an assist, three blocked shots and seven PIM in Friday's 6-3 win over the Sabres. Rielly dropped the gloves with Tage Thompson in the first period and then assisted on a Nicholas Robertson tally in the second. With three helpers over his last five outings, Rielly is providing decent offense in his usual top-four role. The defenseman has 18 points, 60 shots on net, 49 blocked shots, 15 PIM and a minus-7 rating over 33 contests in 2024-25.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Contributes assist in win

Rielly logged an assist in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Ducks. Rielly has three helpers over his last seven games. His ice time remains steady in a top-four role, though he's most often been on the second power-play unit lately. The blueliner has 16 points (seven on the power play), 55 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 29 appearances.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Offers helper in win

Rielly posted an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Lightning. Rielly snapped a four-game slump with the secondary helper on John Tavares' second-period tally. Over 12 contests in November, Rielly produced eight points, 23 shots on net and 23 blocked shots. The 30-year-old defenseman has functioned as the Maple Leafs' top blueliner this season. He has 14 points, 47 shots on net, 38 blocks and a minus-4 rating across 23 appearances.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Dishes two power-play assists

Rielly notched two power-play assists and four blocked shots in Friday's 3-1 win over the Red Wings. Rielly's reunion with the first power-play unit has gone well with him earning five points over the last two games, all with the man advantage. The defenseman is up to four goals, seven helpers, 29 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 15 outings. Rielly's return to a more prominent power-play role will take a big chunk out of Oliver Ekman-Larsson's fantasy value.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: First power-play points of season

Rielly scored a goal and added two assists, all on the power play, in a 4-0 win over Boston on Tuesday. His goal stood as the winner. Rielly took a feed from Mitch Marner and fired a wrist shot from inside the blue line through a sea of bodies in front of Jeremy Swayman. It was his first multi-point game of the season, as well as his first power-play points of 2024-25. Last season, 20 of Rielly's 58 points -- close to one-third -- came with the man advantage. The Leafs currently sit in the bottom six of the NHL in power-play effectiveness, so expect things to shift for Rielly and his mates in this important fantasy category.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Nets goal in win

Rielly scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Monday's 6-4 win over the Jets. Rielly's goal spotted the Maple Leafs a 4-0 lead before the Jets attempted a comeback effort. The 30-year-old Rielly has two goals and one assist during a three-game point streak. He's looking good on an even-strength pairing with Oliver Ekman-Larsson, but those two blueliners are also competing for the top power-play job. Rielly is at five points, 24 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 10 appearances.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Scores in 800th game

Rielly picked up a goal Saturday in a 4-3 overtime loss to Boston. The goal came in his 800th career regular-season game. Rielly has one goal and one assist in his last two appearances and four points (two goals, two assists) in nine outings this season. Still, the Leafs' power play continues to struggle, and Rielly hasn't reached the scoresheet on the man advantage in 2024-25. Despite replacing Rielly on the top unit, Oliver Ekman-Larsson has also been held scoreless on the power play. Be patient with Rielly, as he has topped the 50-point mark in two of his last three regular seasons.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Produces assist in loss

Rielly notched an assist, three shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Blues. Rielly continues to see top-four minutes, though he remains in competition with Oliver Ekman-Larsson for the top power-play gig. The helper snapped a three-game slump for Rielly, who has been limited to three points over eight contests this season. The 30-year-old blueliner has added 17 shots on net, 13 blocked shots, five hits and a minus-3 rating.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Deposits goal Wednesday

Rielly scored a goal and added two PIM in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Kings. Rielly has a goal and an assist through four games this season. He's added eight shots on net, eight blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. Unfortunately for his fantasy managers, Rielly has more frequently been on the second power-play unit, while Oliver Ekman-Larsson quarterbacks the first unit. Rielly still gets plenty of time with Toronto's top players in a top-four role at even strength, which gives him a safe floor in fantasy.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Dishes pair of helpers

Rielly recorded two assists, four hits and five blocked shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Bruins in Game 6. Rielly helped out on both of William Nylander's goals in the game. Through six playoff outings, Rielly has three assists, 15 shots on net, 16 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating. The 30-year-old defenseman continues to see significant minutes on the top pairing, but he hasn't been as efficient on offense as he was during the regular season. Rielly had 58 points and 173 shots on goal over 72 regular-season contests.

Rielly picked up an assist in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over Pittsburgh. With his secondary helper on Matthew Knies' second-period goal Monday, Rielly now has assists in three straight matchups since returning from a four-game absence due to an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old blueliner is up to 54 points (seven goals, 47 assists) along with 92 hits and 130 blocked shots through 68 appearances this year while holding down a first-pairing spot.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Remains day-to-day

Rielly (upper body) is still considered day-to-day and won't play Monday against Florida, David Alter of The Hockey News reports. Although Rielly will miss a fourth consecutive contest Monday, he's reportedly close to 100 percent healthy and is expected to practice Tuesday. A return to action Wednesday versus Tampa Bay appears to be a real possibility for the 30-year-old defender, who's racked up 51 points through 65 contests this campaign.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Still sidelined versus Sabres

Rielly (upper body) will remain on the shelf against Buffalo on Saturday. Coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters, "It looks like he's turned the corner here and should be on the ice in the next day or so," per Mark Masters of TSN. Rielly will be out of action for a third straight game due to his lingering upper-body issue. Still, the blueliner seems to be making progress and could be back on the blue line sooner rather than later. With Timothy Liljegren (upper body) and Joel Edmundson (undisclosed) both facing extended absences, the Leafs will have to rely heavily on Simon Benoit and Conor Timmins until Rielly can't get back on the ice.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Won't play Thursday

Rielly (upper body) will not be available against Washington on Thursday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports. Rielly will be shelved for a second consecutive contest due to his upper-body injury, though he continues to be classified as day-to-day. Conor Timmins should continue to see opportunities with the No. 2 power-play unit while Rielly and Joel Edmundson (undisclosed) are sidelined.

  • Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Questionable versus Washington

Rielly (upper body) is considered questionable for Thursday's matchup with Washington, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports. Rielly missed Tuesday's loss to the Devils due to his upper-body issue, and it looks like his status for Thursday's contest may boil down to a game-time decision. Rielly's racked up seven goals and 51 points through 65 contests this season -- fantasy managers should plan on keeping a close eye on his status ahead of puck drop Thursday.

Both assists were incredible stretch passes that sprung William Nylander and David Kampf on breakaways, Rielly (500) joined Borje Salming (817) and Tomas Kaberle (548) as the only defenders to reach 500 or more career regular-season and playoff points with the Maple Leafs franchise. His 49 points through 61 games this campaign puts him 10th in scoring among blueliners.
