  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Stays hot in win

Draisaitl potted two goals and added an assist in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over Detroit. Draisaitl scored the winner in overtime, and he added a team-high seven shots, one block and a plus-1 rating in 21:10 of ice time. The star forward extended his point streak to six (five goals, four assists) while having a hand in all three of Edmonton's markers Sunday. Despite being held off the scoresheet in two of his first three outings, Draisaitl has recorded 10 points through nine games while filling his usual top-six role and spot on the No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Breaks ice in win

Draisaitl scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 4-0 win over the Penguins. The Oilers dominated play for quite a while before Draisaitl snapped in a shot at 13:00 of the second period for the opening goal. The 28-year-old is on a five-game point streak (three goals, three assists), a span in which the Oilers have won three games. For the season, he's at four goals, seven points, 19 shots on net, four hits and 10 PIM over eight contests.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Credited with assist Tuesday

Draisaitl recorded a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes. Draisaitl extended his point streak to four games with his power-play helper Tuesday, but it wasn't enough to avoid another defeat for the Oilers, as Edmonton wasted a two-goal lead to suffer an overtime loss. Draisaitl has stayed productive despite the team's woes and has tallied six points over his last six games, with three goals and three assists.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Scores lone goal in loss

Draisaitl scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Stars. Draisaitl broke up Jake Oettinger's shutout bid at 17:38 of the third period. Through six contests, Draisaitl has done alright with three goals, two assists, 13 shots on net and eight PIM. It's a lower scoring rate than we're used to seeing from the 28-year-old, but with the Oilers shaking off a slow start, it's fair to expect Draisaitl's offense to pick up as the season progresses.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Posts assist in win

Draisaitl provided an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Predators. Perhaps more notably, Draisaitl avoided a trip to the sin bin for the first time in five games this season. He had the secondary helper on Connor McDavid's game-winning goal late in the second period. Draisaitl has two goals, two assists, 11 shots on net, four hits, eight PIM and an even plus-minus rating this season. He's been playing on the wing lately, and it's helped the Oilers tally four goals in each of the last two games for their first two wins of the season.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Leads comeback effort

Draisaitl scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flyers. Draisaitl took a reckless penalty late in the second period and ended up getting benched early in the third. He responded immediately, helping out on Evan Bouchard's game-tying goal before burying a rebound for the game-winner 56 seconds into overtime. Draisaitl is up to two goals, one assist, 10 shots on net, four hits, eight PIM and a minus-2 rating through four contests. Draisaitl had a career-high 76 PIM over 81 regular-season outings last year, so it will be important for him to find a way to get that issue under control to avoid gifting opponents power plays.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Strikes on power play in loss

Draisaitl scored a power-play goal and added two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Blackhawks. Draisaitl tallied midway through the third period, but it didn't lead to a comeback rally for the Oilers. It's been a slow start to the year for the defending Western Conference champions, who have just two goals through two games. Draisaitl has one tally, four shots on net, four PIM, two hits and a minus-3 rating while centering the second line.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: One of each Wednesday

Draisaitl scored a power-play goal on three shots, notched an assist, logged two hits, added two PIM and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 6-2 preseason loss to the Kraken. Draisaitl scored a goal of his own and set up Travis Dermott as the Oilers erased a 2-0 deficit, but that was the extent of their offense. The 28-year-old Draisaitl has produced three points and seven shots on net in three preseason outings. He'll see significant ice time in all situations once again in 2024-25 with his sights set on earning a sixth 100-point season in seven years.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Signs massive eight-year deal

Draisaitl signed an eight-year, $112 million contract with Edmonton on Tuesday. Draisaitl's new contract will go into effect beginning in the 2025-26 season and contains an annual average value of $14 million, which will make him the highest-paid player in the NHL -- even above teammate Connor McDavid and Toronto's Auston Matthews. The 2023-24 campaign could be termed a down season for the 28-year-old center, considering he failed to reach the 50-goal threshold for the first time in the previous three seasons and was limited to just 39 power-play points -- down from 62 in 2022-23. Still, Draisaitl should be a near lock to reach 100 points in 2024-25, as his durability is matched by few others. He's missed just five games over the past four campaigns.

Draisaitl registered an assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 7. • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Supplies pair of assists

Draisaitl notched two assists, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Panthers in Game 4. Draisaitl hadn't had much success in the Stanley Cup Finals before Saturday's matchup. He'd been held off the scoresheet for three straight contests before he broke through in Game 4. The 28-year-old is up to 30 points (15 on the power play) with 69 shots on net, 23 hits, 15 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 22 playoff appearances. Draisaitl rarely goes cold in the postseason, and if the Oilers are going to come back in the series, he'll likely be a big part of that.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Provides power-play assist

Draisaitl logged a power-play assist and two PIM in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Stars in Game 6. With just four points over six games in the Western Conference Finals, Draisaitl actually had a quiet round. That ultimately didn't matter, as Connor McDavid picked up the slack to help the Oilers make the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 2006. Draisaitl is at 10 goals, 18 helpers, 57 shots on goal, 17 hits and 12 PIM through 18 playoff outings. The Panthers will likely have Aleksander Barkov hard-matched with McDavid in the Stanley Cup Finals, so there could be more room for Draisaitl to make an impact on his own line.

Draisaitl notched a power-play assist in Friday's 3-1 win over the Stars in Game 5. Draisaitl set up Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' second goal of the game, which stood as the game-winner. It's been a bit of a quiet round for Draisaitl, at least by his lofty standards, as he's posted three points over five contests against the Stars. For the playoffs, he's at 10 goals, 17 helpers, 57 shots on net, 17 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 17 outings.

Draisaitl began the playoffs with a 13-game point streak, but the Stars silenced him in Games 2 and 3. He bounced back Wednesday, netting his 10th goal of the postseason just after a penalty kill that saw the Oilers take the lead on a Mattias Janmark shorthanded tally. Draisaitl is up to 26 points, 56 shots on net, 16 hits and a plus-2 rating over 16 playoff contests.

Draisaitl opened the scoring 58 seconds into the second period, extending his point streak to 13 games in the process. It spans the entire postseason, with the center earning a league-leading 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) during the playoffs. Draisaitl has added 48 shots on net, 10 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. He's started the Western Conference Finals on his own line, but if the Oilers falter later in the series, he could once again be moved up to play alongside Connor McDavid.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Keeps rolling with two helpers

Draisaitl produced two assists, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks in Game 6. Draisaitl set up the Oilers' first and last goals, scored by Dylan Holloway and Evander Kane, respectively. The pair of helpers extended Draisaitl's playoff point streak to 11 contests, during which he has eight goals and 15 assists. He's added 42 shots on net, 10 PIM and a plus-2 rating this postseason. Draisaitl also became the third-fastest player in NHL history to 100 playoff points, doing so in just 60 appearances. Only Wayne Gretzky (46 games) and Mario Lemieux (50 games) did it faster.

Draisaitl logged an assist, two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks in Game 5. Draisaitl extended his point streak to 10 games, though this was just the second time in that span he's been held to a single point. The 28-year-old has often looked like the Oilers' best player in the postseason, racking up eight goals, 13 helpers, 41 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating. He's earned 11 of his points with the man advantage and should continue to see significant ice time in all situations.

He finished off a Connor McDavid pass for the opening tally in the first period and set up Evan Bouchard's game-winning goal in the final minute of the third. Draisaitl is up to eight goals, 20 points, 39 shots on net and a plus-2 rating this postseason, ranking first in the league in points and third in goals.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Two points in loss

Draisaitl scored a power-play goal on five shots, dished an assist and added two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks in Game 3. Draisaitl got the Oilers within a goal in the second period and helped out on Evan Bouchard's tally in the third, but it wasn't enough. The 28-year-old Draisaitl has multiple points in seven of eight playoff contests, with the lone exception being the Oilers' 1-0 win over the Kings in Game 4 of the first round. He's at seven goals, 11 helpers, 35 shots on net, eight PIM and a plus-3 rating this postseason.
