  • Blackhawks' Andrew Mangiapane: Nets first goal with new team

Mangiapane scored a goal in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth. Mangiapane picked up his first goal in three games since the Blackhawks acquired him from the Oilers. The 29-year-old winger is occupying a third-line role for now, and he's not getting power-play time yet. He has struggled this season with eight goals, 15 points, 53 shots on net, 56 hits, 38 PIM, 22 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 55 appearances.

  • Blackhawks' Andrew Mangiapane: Set to make team debut Friday

Mangiapane (not injury related) is available for Friday's game against Vancouver, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Mangiapane was traded to Chicago from Edmonton on Wednesday, but his status for Friday's matchup was in question due to his visa application. However, he'll officially be able to make his first appearance with his new team. The 29-year-old has made 52 appearances for the Oilers this year, recording seven goals, seven assists, 51 hits, 36 PIM and 19 blocked shots while averaging 12:36 of ice time.

  • Blackhawks' Andrew Mangiapane: Working through immigration process

Mangipane's availability against the Canucks on Friday will depend on when his visa application is processed, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports. Based on similar situations, it seems unlikely Mangipane will be ready to face Vancouver on Friday, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. In 52 games with the Oilers this season, the Toronto native has managed just seven goals and seven helpers. Now with the Blackhawks, Mangipane could see more opportunities than he was getting with Edmonton.

  • Blackhawks' Andrew Mangiapane: Traded to Chicago

Mangiapane and a 2027 first-round pick were traded to the Blackhawks from the Oilers in exchange for Jason Dickinson and Colton Dach on Wednesday, freelance insider Frank Seravalli reports. Mangiapane was waived Sunday and was sent down to AHL Bakersfield a day later. It's not yet clear if he will report to the Blackhawks or AHL Rockford, but it seems likely he'll be with the NHL team. Mangiapane is in the first season of a two-year, $7.2 million contract, so it's possible the Blackhawks will try to rebuild his value a bit before attempting to flip him at a later date. At best, Mangiapane is a middle-six option, though he was limited to 14 points in 52 outings with the Oilers.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Lands on waivers

Mangiapane was placed on waivers Sunday. Mangiapane has seven goals, 14 points, 51 shots on net and 51 hits across 52 appearances this season. If he clears waivers, he could head to AHL Bakersfield. He might also remain with the Oilers for Tuesday's matchup against Ottawa.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Earns two points in win

Mangiapane scored a goal on three shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 8-1 win over the Kings. Mangiapane was involved in the Oilers' second and third goals, making an early impact in this blowout win. He snapped a six-game point drought with the effort, a span that also included three healthy scratches. Mangiapane is now at seven goals, 14 points, 51 shots on net, 50 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-19 rating through 51 appearances this season, putting him on track for his worst full NHL campaign. He's tough to trust in fantasy while logging bottom-six minutes.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Gets on scoresheet Sunday

Mangiapane scored a goal in Sunday's 5-0 win over the Blues. Mangiapane's time with Edmonton hasn't gone that well, as he's slipped into a bottom-six role. That's also included some time out of the lineup -- prior to Sunday, he had been scratched for six of the previous 10 games. The winger ended a seven-game point drought with a first-period goal, putting him at six goals and 12 points through 44 appearances. He's added 42 shots on net, 40 hits, 17 blocked shots, 34 PIM and a minus-17 rating. Mangiapane's playing time is safe in the short term, as Kasperi Kapanen (undisclosed) joined Leon Draisaitl (personal) and Adam Henrique (undisclosed) among the Oilers' unavailable forwards, leaving the team with just 11 healthy forwards currently.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Scores in Saturday's loss

Mangiapane scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Wild. Mangiapane ended a 21-game goal drought with his first-period tally. His first season in Edmonton has been a bit disappointing with just 11 points, 36 shots on net, 27 hits and a minus-16 rating over 36 outings. He's tracking toward production similar to 2024-25, when he had 14 goals and 28 points in 81 regular-season games with the Capitals. Mangiapane remains in a middle-six role at even strength but isn't seeing much power-play usage this year.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Records helper

Mangiapane notched an assist and added two PIM in Thursday's 9-4 win over the Kraken. Mangiapane is in another goal drought, having gone 14 games and counting without scoring. He has five helpers and a minus-11 rating in that span. The 29-year-old winger has mostly played in a third-line role this season, and he's had just traces of power-play time most of the time. He's at 10 points, 31 shots on net, 23 hits and a minus-17 rating across 28 outings overall.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Ends scoring drought

Mangiapane scored a goal and took three shots on goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Blues. Mangiapane found the back of the net at 2:27 of the second period to give the Oilers a 2-0 lead, although Edmonton wasn't able to hold on to its advantage. Mangiapane finally ended his five-game scoring drought. However, with four goals and just five points through 14 appearances, he's not delivering a lot of fantasy value despite his top-six role in the lineup.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Nets goal in high-scoring win

Mangiapane scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Canadiens. Mangiapane put an end to a four-game point drought with his second-period tally. The winger has been solidly in a middle-six role this season, but over eight contests, his ice time has fluctuated from 11:19 to 17:42, and he clocked in at 13:50 in this game. He's produced three goals, one helper, six shots on net, three hits, four blocked shots and a minus-2 rating. That's roughly a 40-point pace, which is in the range of normal outcomes for Mangiapane.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Goals in consecutive contests

Mangiapane scored a goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Canucks. Mangiapane has scored two goals in as many games to begin his Oilers tenure. His tally at 19:09 of the second period Saturday stood as the game-winner. The winger has added two shots on net, one hit and one blocked shot so far. The 29-year-old is playing in a middle-six role, though he's seen relatively limited ice time so far, which could make it difficult to sustain his early success.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Tallies against old teammates

Mangiapane scored a goal in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Flames. Mangiapane's first goal as an Oiler came against the team he spent his first seven NHL campaigns with. He kept the puck in the zone while getting knocked down and then took a pass from Connor McDavid before sniping a shot in from the left circle at 16:11 of the first period. Prior to his 28-point regular season with the Capitals in 2024-25, Mangiapane had reached the 40-point mark in three straight years. He's starting this year in a top-six role with power-play time, so he's in a good position to put together a bounce-back campaign. He's not a must-have winger, but fantasy managers should keep an eye on how he performs early on.

  • Oilers' Andrew Mangiapane: Back in Alberta on two-year deal

Mangiapane signed a two-year, $7.2 million contract with the Oilers on Tuesday. After spending the first seven years of his NHL career in Calgary, Mangiapane will return to the Battle of Alberta on the opposite side of the rivalry. He's coming off a down year with the Capitals in which he had 28 points in 81 regular-season games. He averaged just 13:02 of ice time, but he should be good for a middle-six job with the Oilers, and he could be a candidate for power-play time as well.

  • Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Slings helper in win

Mangiapane notched an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens in Game 4. Mangiapane buried his chance at 16:23 of the third period, and that goal stood as the game-winner. The winger has earned a goal, an assist, nine shots on net, two hits, three blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over four playoff outings. Mangiapane is capable of doing some depth scoring, but his chances remain somewhat limited in a third-line role.

  • Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Records assist in Game 3

Mangiapane notched an assist and two shots on goal in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Canadiens in Game 3. Mangiapane snapped a six-game point drought with the helper. The 29-year-old has played in a bottom-six role for much of the season, and that hasn't changed in the playoffs. He's added seven shots on net and two hits over three playoff outings after a regular season where he had 28 points -- his lowest total in six years -- with 95 shots on net, 74 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 81 appearances.

  • Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Hands out helper in win

Mangiapane notched a power-play assist and went minus-2 in Friday's 5-3 win over the Blackhawks. Mangiapane snapped a four-game slump with his secondary assist on Alex Ovechkin's record-tying 894th career goal. That's a little piece of history for Mangiapane to remember. The 29-year-old winger has mostly played in a bottom-six role with power-play time this year, racking up 27 points, 87 shots on net, 67 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 75 appearances. Barring a late push, he's set to miss the 30-point mark for the first time since 2018-19.

  • Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Third straight game with goal

Mangiapane scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets. Mangiapane found the back of the net with a wrister at the 19:20 mark of the first period for his 14th goal of the season. Perhaps even more importantly, this was his third consecutive game lighting the lamp. Mangiapane has recorded 26 points in 70 appearances this season, so he hasn't been a very reliable fantasy performer, but there's no question he's ending the regular season on a strong note.

  • Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Tallies goal Saturday

Mangiapane scored a goal and tallied three shots on net in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers. Mangiapane's goal was the final of six tallies put away but the Capitals and the third of three goals scored in the first six minutes of the second period. Overall, the 28-year-old Mangiapane is up to 13 goals, 25 points and 82 shots on net in 69 appearances this season. He has goals in back-to-back games for the Capitals and is showing encouraging flashes on offense. Mangiapane has good natural scoring instincts and an above-average shot, with double-digit goals on just 82 shots on goal. While his upside is limited in a third-line role, he is one of many Capitals who can provide solid value down the stretch in fantasy.

  • Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Nabs assist in win

Mangiapane recorded an assist in Friday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings. Mangiapane has a helper in each of the last two contests after enduring a five-game point drought. He's gone 10 contests without a goal, and scoring is likely to get tougher for him after the Capitals' lone deadline-day trade brought in a similar middle-six scoring winger in Anthony Beauvillier. Mangiapane has had a tough year in a bottom-six role with 22 points, 72 shots on net, 54 hits and a plus-8 rating through 62 appearances while averaging just 13:07 of ice time per game.
