Dube scored a shorthanded goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Sharks.
The goal was his first point of the season, and it came on his first shot. He's added three hits, two PIM and a minus-1 rating over three appearances. Dube is filling a fourth-line role, and while he'll compete with Zach Dean and Ross Johnston for playing time, all of those depth forwards should have some stability in their roles during Alexey Toropchenko's (upper body) absence of at least six weeks.

Dillon Dube: Cleared to return to NHL
Dube, who was acquitted of sexual assault charges in the Hockey Canada trial, will be eligible to appear in NHL games starting Dec. 1, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports Thursday.
Per Johnston, contracts can be registered with the NHL on Oct. 15, and the five players can begin conditioning with a team Nov. 15 and appear in a game Dec. 1. As such, Dube won't be able to link up with a team until after the 2025-26 regular season starts, which could limit his options. Last season, Dube headed to the KHL to continue his playing career, logging 42 games for Dynamo Minsk.

Dube (personal) has been directed to surrender to London, Ontario police to be charged with sexual assault in connection with an alleged incident that occurred during a 2018 Hockey Canada event, TSN reports.
According to TSN, Dube and four other individuals, including three NHL players, are expected to surrender before the London Police Service holds a press conference Monday to update the public on the case. The five individuals are accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a London hotel on June 19, 2018, following a Hockey Canada Foundation golf and gala event. Dube remains on the non-roster list while on an indefinite leave of absence from the Flames.

Dube has been stuck on the fourth line for a while, averaging 9:30 of ice time per game during his drought. His goal-scoring slump is even longer at 22 contests. Dube has a mere seven points, 33 shots on net, 18 hits, 17 blocked shots and minus-7 rating over 33 appearances. With the lack of results, it's possible he's at risk of being a healthy scratch at some point -- Walker Duehr would be the one to step into the lineup.
