  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Wins fourth straight start

Greaves made 25 saves in an 8-5 win over the Lightning on Saturday. The game was orchestral chaos most of the night. Greaves bent early in the second, allowing two goals in 1:29 that tied things 4-4. However, he regained his composure and stood tall, even when the Bolts pulled their goalie with more than five minutes remaining in the game. Greaves has won his last four starts, but we're watching the Columbus net. Head coach Rick Bowness is giving both Greaves and Elvis Merzlikins equal opportunity to earn time in net. Greaves is doing his part to push Elvis off the throne entirely, but the next little while could be messy for starts for both men.

Greaves made 28 saves in a 1-0 win over Dallas on Thursday. It was Greaves' first shutout of the season and third of his career. The Stars had significantly more scoring chances than the Blue Jackets all night, and Greaves stood tall, including turning aside Mavrik Bourque on a breakaway early in the third. Overall, the 24-year-old netminder is 14-12-6 with a 2.70 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 33 appearances this season. The Stars are tied for seventh in NHL scoring, generating 3.32 goals per game in 2025-26.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Needed in relief Tuesday

Greaves turned aside 12 of 13 shots after replacing Elvis Merzlikins (illness) to begin the second period in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Senators. Ridly Greig tucked the puck past Greaves early in the third period on a rush chance, but the Columbus netminder kept things close after entering the contest with his team down 2-1. Greaves has had a couple of bumpy outings in January, going 3-2-1 over seven appearances with a 3.01 GAA and a .904 save percentage.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Set to start against Flames

Greaves will start Tuesday's home contest against the Flames, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers. After a solid outing in Sunday's win over the Mammoth, Greaves will be called upon for the second straight game amidst Elvis Merzlikins' struggles to stay healthy and post consistent numbers. Greaves' win Sunday snapped Columbus' 0-3-1 winless drought. The 24-year-old netminder has a 13-12-6 record with a 2.71 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 31 outings this season. Entering Tuesday's contest, Calgary has generated 2.48 goals per game this season, which ranks second-worst in the league, giving Greaves a favorable matchup.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Gets back in win column

Greaves stopped 25 of 27 shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Mammoth. Greaves had lost four of his last five outings, but a breather Saturday appears to have done him some good. He limited the Mammoth to two goals, scored 4:42 apart between the late first period and early second frame. All of Greaves' last five wins have come when he limits an opponent to two goals or fewer. The 24-year-old netminder is up to 13-12-6 with a 2.71 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 31 appearances this season. He should still see a majority of the starts over Elvis Merzlikins, but it will be important for the Blue Jackets to build in some rest for Greaves to keep his performance on track. The team's next game is at home Tuesday versus the Flames.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Beaten five times

Greaves stopped 38 of 43 shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Penguins. Greaves has dropped two of his last three starts, but fantasy managers would be wise to look past his win-loss record to see what he brings to the table. The 24-year-old netminder has been playing well of late -- this was the first time since Nov. 28 (also against Pittsburgh) where he allowed more than three goals. Over his last 10 games, Greaves has gone 5-4-1 with a 2.46 GAA and a .917 save percentage.

The 24-year-old has had a mixed bag of results over that stretch, posting a 2-5-0 record but a 2.41 GAA and .918 save percentage. He'll face the Islanders, who have risen to second in the Metropolitan Division but have been held to two goals or fewer in five straight games.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Another tough loss Thursday

Greaves stopped 23 of 26 shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Wild, with Minnesota's final two goals getting scored into an empty net. Two of the pucks that got past Greaves were tap-ins from right on his doorstep, while the other saw Vladimir Tarasenko complete a tic-tac-toe passing play on a 3-on-2 rush by the Wild. The 24-year-old netminder has given up three goals or fewer in six straight appearances, but he has just a 1-5-0 record to show for his 2.65 GAA and .912 save percentage over that stretch. Greaves appears to be locking down the top spot in the Columbus crease, but without more offensive support, his fantasy value will remain shaky.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: First win in almost month

Greaves made 24 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the Ducks on Tuesday. Greaves hadn't won since Nov. 20 -- he had rung up a 0-4-3 record since that date. Still, the talented netminder continues to impress, racking up an 8-8-5 record with a 2.76 GAA and .905 save percentage in 20 starts. Greaves has assumed the starter's role in Columbus, and we don't think he'll look back.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: In goal Tuesday

Greaves will get the starting nod at home versus the Ducks on Tuesday, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports. Greaves will make his fifth straight appearance in the crease despite being mired in a seven-game losing streak. During his winless run, the 24-year-old backstop is 0-4-3, even with a solid 2.82 GAA and .904 save percentage. Considering Greaves' performances don't seem to be the problem for the Jackets, he will likely continue to feature ahead of Elvis Merzlikins.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Extends losing streak

Greaves stopped 27 of 30 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes. The fourth goal was an empty-netter. Greaves was beaten once in the second period and three times in the final frame, as the Blue Jackets couldn't hold on to their lead. Greaves has been in a major slump and hasn't won a start since Nov. 20, when he earned the W against the Maple Leafs. Since then, he's gone 0-2-3 with a 2.78 GAA and a .905 save percentage. The record and the five-game slump certainly look worse than his peripherals.

Greaves will protect the road net Tuesday against Carolina, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site. He hasn't earned a win since Nov. 20 in Toronto, as he's 0-1-3 with a 2.70 GAA and a .907 save percentage over his last four outings. The Hurricanes are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Sharks on Sunday and have scored exactly one goal in three of their last four games, a span in which they are 2-2-0.

  • Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Gets no help in loss

Greaves stopped 36 of 37 shots in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Capitals. Washington's second goal was scored into an empty net. Greaves was great, but Logan Thompson did a little better in protecting the opposite net. This was Greaves' fourth straight loss (0-1-3), and he's allowed 11 goals on 118 shots in that span. Elvis Merzlikins didn't exactly dominate in starting three straight games, so the door should be open for Greaves to maintain a good share of playing time. On the year, the 24-year-old Greaves is 7-5-5 with a 2.71 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 17 starts this season. The Blue Jackets' next game is a tough one on the road versus the Hurricanes.

Greaves dropped to 7-4-5 with a 2.81 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 16 starts after this poor outing.
