Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Suiting up against Wild
Knies (lower body) is playing in Monday's home game against the Wild, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
Knies didn't participate in line rushes during warmups after being listed as a game-time decision, but he'll ultimately be in the lineup Monday. The left-shot winger will skate on the second line with Matias Maccelli and John Tavares. Jacob Quillan is set to be a healthy scratch versus Minnesota.

Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Game-time decision
Knies (lower body) will be a game-time decision against Minnesota on Monday, Joshua Kloke of The Athletic reports.
Knies has been dealing with an issue recently, skipping practices and morning skates for maintenance, and he wasn't on the ice for Monday's session. He has accounted for 12 goals, 40 points, 90 shots on net and 99 hits in 45 appearances this season. If Knies can't play against Minnesota, Scott Laughton could occupy a top-six role in Monday's lineup, and Jacob Quillan will probably play.

Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Produces pair of helpers
Knies notched two assists in Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.
Knies started the game on the third line, but he moved up when William Nylander (lower body) left the contest. This was Knies' first contribution on offense in five games, which explains his slip down the lineup recently. The 23-year-old is at 12 goals, 40 points (five on the power play), 89 shots on net, 98 hits and a minus-3 rating over 44 appearances. Should he reclaim a regular role in the top six, Knies will likely return to productive play.

Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: Strikes on power play
Knies scored a power-play goal on three shots in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Red Wings.
Knies' offense is coming back to life, with him posting three goals and two assists over his last five games. He's earned two of those tallies on the power play, his first contributions in that situation since Oct. 28. The winger is up to 10 goals, 34 points, 76 shots on net, 87 hits and a minus-2 rating over 35 appearances. Given Knies is shooting a fairly efficient 13.2 percent, though down from last year's 19.1 percent success rate over 78 regular-season games, the winger may benefit from being a little more selfish with the puck.

Maple Leafs' Matthew Knies: First point in five games
Knies grabbed an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Penguins.
Yes, it was on John Tavares' empty-net goal, but a guy has to start somewhere. It was Knies' first point in five games and just his second (two assists) in nine contests. He has just two goals in his last 19 games. Knies has been a playmaker most of the season -- he has just seven goals and 23 assists in 33 games. The Leafs' top players have been in deep slumps for the last while, and Knies has not been immune to it himself. He has continued to dish out hits (83), so when he's scoring, he's one of the rare all-rounders in fantasy.

Knies had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Hurricanes.
His goal was a highlight reel snipe. He then fended off Sebastian Aho near the right hash marks before flipping a backhand over Frederik Andersen's glove. Knies' goal came early in the second period, and it made the score 3-1. He has eight points (two goals, six assists) in his last seven games (17 shots) and 28 points, including seven goals, in 24 games. Head coach Craig Berube said Monday that Knies (lower body) is close to returning to game action, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
