  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Records three points in win

Cates recorded a shorthanded goal and two even-strength assists in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Jets. Cates doesn't carry a ton of upside as a bottom-six forward, but he managed to find the back of the net with his first shorthanded goal of the campaign in this blowout win. Cates has four points (one goal, three assists) in six games in April, and he's ending the regular season on a strong note, with 12 points (six goals, six assists) and a plus-10 rating over his last 14 appearances dating back to March 18.

Cates scored a power-play goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Red Wings. Cates continues to find the net well with five goals and two assists over his last six games. This was his first power-play production since he had a helper with the man advantage March 2 versus the Maple Leafs. The 27-year-old forward is up to 17 goals, 41 points, nine power-play points, 113 shots on net, 42 PIM and a plus-20 rating, all of which are career highs, over 72 appearances.

The 27-year-old winger has also reached 40 points for the first time this season, while adding 110 shots on net, 81 hits, 49 blocked shots, 42 PIM and a stunning plus-20 rating in 71 contests.

Cates scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, blocked two shots, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Kings. Cates has two goals and three helpers over his last five contests. He's been dialed in even longer than that, earning four goals and seven assists over 12 contests since the Olympic break. For the season, the 27-year-old forward is up to 14 goals, 37 points, 102 shots on net, 80 hits, 47 blocked shots, 37 PIM and a plus-17 rating through 68 appearances. Cates scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals. Cates went into the Olympic break on an 18-game goal drought, adding just four assists in that span. The 27-year-old may have benefited from the break, using it as a reset to get his campaign back on track. He's been fine in a middle-six role in 2025-26, earning 11 goals, 27 points, 90 shots on net, 67 hits, 38 blocked shots, 33 PIM and a plus-16 rating over 57 appearances, production largely in line with where he was at last year.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Finds twine in loss

Cates scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres. Cates tied the game at 1-1 with a goal just 58 seconds after Jack Quinn opened the scoring for the Sabres. Over nine games in December, Cates has four points, 17 shots on net, nine hits and eight blocked shots. He's been a reliable middle-six forward for the Flyers once again, earning eight goals, 17 points, 62 shots, 32 hits, 28 blocks and a plus-12 rating over 33 outings this season. He does just enough to be on the fringe of fantasy rosters in standard formats and offers well-rounded production for managers in deeper leagues.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Goal, assist in win

Cates scored a goal on five shots, added an assist, went plus-2 and blocked four shots in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sabres. Cates snapped a five-game point drought with the effort. He's gotten on the scoresheet in just two of his last 12 games, but he has two goals and three assists in that span. The 26-year-old forward continues to fill a steady middle-six role with time on the second power-play unit. He's up to six goals, 15 points, 50 shots on net, 24 hits, 24 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating across 26 outings this season. At that pace, Cates is on track to exceed the 40-point mark for the first time in his career.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Scores go-ahead goal

Cates scored a goal in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Predators. Cates has a goal and four helpers over his last six games. While he's been steady on offense from a middle-six role -- getting on the scoresheet in 10 of 14 contests -- Cates has yet to produce a multi-point performance this year. He's at four goals, six helpers, 29 shots on net, 11 hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating while seeing ice time in all situations. If that kind of usage continues, the 26-year-old is a virtual lock to top his career-high 38-point effort from 2022-23.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Nets another goal

Cates scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Kraken. This was Cates' second goal in as many games and his third tally of the season. The 26-year-old forward has five points through six outings while filling a steady middle-six role. He's also been a regular on the power play, which should help him find more consistent offense. Cates has added 14 shots on net, five blocked shots, four hits and a plus-2 rating. His all-around profile isn't the best for fantasy, but he's worth a look as a streaming option.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Scores OT winner

Cates scored a goal on three shots and delivered one hit in 19:20 of ice time during Saturday's 2-1overtime win over the Wild. So far this season, Cates has been a trusted top-six center for the Flyers, and he is rewarding the team with a strong start to the campaign. The 26-year-old buried his second goal of the season Saturday night, a game-winner in overtime that knocked off the Minnesota-native's hometown Wild. It's early, but with four points (two goals, two assists) through five games, he's on pace to blast past his previous career high of 38.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Earns four-year deal with Philly

Cates signed a four-year, $16 million contract extension with the Flyers on Tuesday. Over 235 regular-season appearances with the Flyers during his four-year career, Cates has accumulated 40 goals and 102 points. The Minnesota native's new contract runs through the 2028-29 season, though he did not receive any no-trade protection, per Kevin Kurz of The Athletic. The 26-year-old Cates will likely see top-six minutes while skating with one of the power-play units in 2025-26.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Finds twine Sunday

Cates scored a goal and put three shots on net in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Senators. Cates found the back of the net for Philadelphia's second goal in the latter stages of the second period. With Sunday's tally, the 26-year-old forward is up to 16 goals, 36 points and 109 shots on net in 76 appearances this year. Cates needs two points in Philadelphia's last two games to tie his career high of 38 from the 2022-23 season. He's settled into the top-line center role and has averaged north of 17:30 TOI since the calendar flipped to 2025. Cates will be a restricted free agent this summer, and if Philadelphia elects to retain him, he should see top-six minutes for the Flyers next season as well.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Provides two assists Wednesday

Cates logged two assists, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Rangers. Cates has six points over his last seven games, though he's been bolstered by a pair of multi-point efforts in that span. It's still better than his nine-game slump from March 6-22. The 26-year-old has been an effective depth scorer in 2024-25, earning 15 goals, 19 assists, 106 shots on net, 86 hits, 52 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 74 appearances so far.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Snags helper in overtime loss

Cates provided an assist, three shots on goal and four hits in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs. Cates has a helper in three straight contests. He's gotten on the scoresheet in 10 of 12 games dating back to Dec. 10, earning six goals and five assists in that span. The 25-year-old forward has made the third-line center spot his own this season, and the offense is an added bonus. He's at 16 points, 41 shots on net, 40 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 36 appearances. The offense doesn't stand out, but he's offering decent non-scoring production to be helpful in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Scores again Monday

Cates scored a goal in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Penguins. Cates' goal streak is up to four games, and he has seven points over his last seven outings. This is arguably the best stretch of his career. He's up to six tallies, 12 points, 31 shots on net, 33 hits and a plus-7 rating through 31 appearances. Cates was moved up to the second line Monday, but until he starts seeing regular power-play time, it's tough to trust that his offense will last.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Keeps rolling with two-point effort

Cates scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Blue Jackets. Cates tied the game at 2-2 at 8:48 of the third period. The teams exchanged a few more goals after that, and Cates was on the ice to feed Owen Tippett for the game-winner 3:30 into overtime. With four goals and two assists over his last six contests, Cates is in the midst of one of the best stretches of his career. The 25-year-old is up to five tallies, six helpers, 30 shots on net and a plus-7 rating over 30 appearances this season. While his recent play is encouraging, his history doesn't indicate an ability to sustain this level of production, especially when he remains in a third-line role.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Chips in with helper

Cates notched an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blues. Cates has four points over his last nine outings, which is fine production for a bottom-six forward on a low-scoring team. Overall, he has five points, 17 shots on net, 27 hits, 14 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 21 appearances. Cates has mostly seen third-line usage lately, and he's been sharp enough defensively to stick in the lineup despite his poor scoring numbers for the year.

  • Flyers' Noah Cates: Chips in with assist

Cates logged an assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Senators. Cates snapped an eight-game point drought with his helper on a Travis Konecny goal in the second period. The good news is Cates stayed in the lineup during his scoring slump -- he had been scratched for four of the first five games of the season. The 25-year-old has earned just two assists with 10 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-3 rating over 13 appearances in 2024-25.
