    Spacek has been reassigned to AHL Iowa by the Wild, the team announced Sunday. Spacek played two games in the time he spent with the Wild, the first being his NHL debut. The 22-year-old didn't record a point, had a minus-1 rating, and posted one hit and two blocked shots in those two outings. He will head back to AHL Iowa, where he has three goals and 16 assists in 35 games.

    Spacek was recalled from AHL Iowa on Monday. Spacek will provide depth on Minnesota's blue line since Jake Middleton is dealing with an illness, and it's unclear if the latter will be ready for Tuesday's home game against the Sharks. Spacek, a fifth-round pick in 2022, has yet to make his NHL debut. The right-shot defenseman has six helpers and a minus-1 rating across 12 appearances with the minor-league squad this year.

    Spacek will take part in the 2025 IIHF World Championship with Czechia. Spacek has yet to make his NHL debut after two full seasons in the minors with AHL Iowa. During the 2024-25 campaign, the 22-year-old blueliner notched four goals and 27 helpers in 72 regular-season contests. With a strong performance at Worlds, Spacek could start building his case for a roster spot with Minnesota ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
