Unger Sorum scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in AHL Chicago's 4-3 overtime win over Grand Rapids in Game 2 on Saturday.
Unger Sorum had been held to three assists over the first six games of the playoffs before Saturday's performance. He had 17 goals and 49 assists over 72 regular-season contests in his second AHL campaign, accounting for a breakout showing. Unger Sorum will look to continue helping the Wolves' offense as they are one more win away from the Western Conference Finals.

Hurricanes' Felix Unger Sorum: Sent to AHL
Unger Sorum was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Wednesday.
Unger Sorum made his NHL debut Tuesday and registered an assist in Carolina's 2-1 victory over the Islanders. He'll return to the Wolves, who are preparing for the Calder Cup Playoffs. Unger Sorum has 16 goals and 63 points in 69 appearances with the minor-league squad.

Unger Sorum was recalled from AHL Chicago on Monday.
Unger Sorum has yet to make his NHL debut, and that won't happen Monday since the 20-year-old is not with the team for its game in Philadelphia, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site. However, there's a strong chance he'll draw into the lineup Tuesday against the Islanders. Unger Sorum has been excellent in the AHL this season, generating 16 goals, 63 points and a plus-9 rating over 69 appearances.

Unger Sorum, who was selected 62nd overall in 2023, had a goal and five points in his first 21 AHL contests, as he struggled offensively early on.
