  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Collects third win

Fleury stopped 24 of 26 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sharks. Fleury handled the first half of a back-to-back and came away with his third straight win. The 39-year-old was bested twice by Sharks rookie Macklin Celebrini, but the Wild's top six and defense more than made up for it. Fleury is now 3-0-1 with 11 goals allowed on 115 shots through four starts this season. Look for Filip Gustavsson to play Friday in Anaheim. While nothing firm has been announced, Fleury's next start is likely to be either against one of his former teams, the Blackhawks, on the road Sunday or at home against his hometown team, the Canadiens, next Thursday.

Fleury is set to start on the road against San Jose on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Fleury has a 2-0-1 record, 2.92 GAA and .899 save percentage in three appearances in 2024-25. This will be his first start since Oct. 29. He's getting a favorable matchup -- San Jose has a 4-8-2 record and is tied for 27th offensively with 2.43 goals per game.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Secures second straight win

Fleury stopped 26 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Penguins. Playing what was likely his final game in Pittsburgh, Fleury gave up two first-period goals and another one in the third frame, but the Wild managed to hang on for the victory. The 39-year-old veteran is clearly a backup at this point of his career, but he's been solid in his three appearances this season. He's gone 2-0-1 with a 2.92 GAA and an .899 save percentage.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Set to start Tuesday

Fleury is slated to start Tuesday's road game against Pittsburgh, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Although Fleury has started just two of the Wild's first eight games of the season, it isn't very surprising to see him tabbed to start in Pittsburgh, where he spent the first 13 years of his career. The 39-year-old has announced that he intends to retire following the 2024-25 season, so Tuesday's matchup should be his final regular-season start in Pittsburgh. Over his first two starts this year, he's generated a 1-0-1 record, 2.88 GAA and .900 save percentage.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: First win of season

Fleury made 22 saves in a 4-2 win over Tampa Bay on Thursday. In the second period, Brandon Hagel beat Fleury with a short-handed goal from above the hash marks, and Nikita Kucherov ripped a one-timer past him. Other than that, Fleury was outstanding in his first win of the season and 562nd career win. The next-closest active goalie on the all-time win list is Sergei Bobrovsky with 399. Fleury has confirmed this is his last season, and at age 39, he continues to be a solid match play in daily formats.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Between pipes Thursday

Fleury will tend the twine on the road against the Lightning on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Fleury gave up four goals on 34 shots in an overtime loss to Seattle in his only other appearance this season. At this point, Filip Gustavsson has been too good to pull from the crease, having gone 4-0-1 with a 1.40 GAA in five contests. However, a road matchup in Pittsburgh on Tuesday could see Fleury starting again soon.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Gives up four goals in win

Fleury allowed four goals on 34 shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Kraken. Fleury is playing in his final season before hanging up his skates, and he's expected to operate as Filip Gustavsson's backup throughout the campaign. Thus, the veteran netminder should return to his regular No. 2 role for Sunday's game against Winnipeg. However, the Wild are starting a seven-game road trip Sunday that will last until Nov. 1, meaning Fleury should return between the pipes before too long.

The Wild scored twice in a four-second span in the first period, giving Fleury all the support he needed in the win. He wasn't tested heavily by one of his former teams, but it was still an encouraging start after he allowed five goals in his first preseason outing. • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Dragged down by Kraken

Fleury stopped 23 of 26 shots in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Seattle, with the Kraken's final goal getting scored into an empty net. A 1-1 tie through two periods turned into a wild final frame, and Fleury hit the bench for the final two minutes with Minnesota down 3-2, only to see each team score once more. The 39-year-old netminder lost his final three starts of the season, leaving him with a 17-15-5 record, 2.98 GAA and .895 save percentage through 40 outings. A one-year contract extension he signed earlier this week will bring him back to Minnesota in 2024-25 as Filip Gustavsson's backup, and Fleury still has some personal milestones he can reach -- Flower needs two more shutouts to move into sole possession of 10th place on the NHL's all-time list.

Fleury agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.5 million contract extension with Minnesota on Wednesday. Fleury will put retirement off for at least one more season, instead deciding to stick around with the Wild for his 21st NHL campaign. 2023-24 marks the first time Flower won't appear in the postseason since 2005-06 when he was a second-year player with the Penguins. Even with another year ahead of him, Fleury won't be able to top Martin Brodeur for the all-time wins mark considering Fleury is still 130 victories shy of Brodeur's mark.

  • Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury: Gets starting nod for Thursday

Fleury will patrol the blue paint for the season finale against Seattle at home Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Fleury could be playing in his final career game, given his expiring contract and the fact that he has publicly stated he would only sign in Minnesota. If the Wild opt to go in a different direction, the three-time Stanley Cup winner is reportedly poised to hang up the skates. On the year, he is 17-14-5 with two shutouts, a 2.98 GAA and an .895 save percentage through 39 contests.

The 39-year-old is down to 17-14-5 with a 2.98 GAA and an .895 save percentage through 39 appearances this season. Jesper Wallstedt is slated to start Saturday in San Jose, but the Wild's goaltending plans for the last two games of the season have not yet been announced.

Fleury made 21 saves in a 4-2 loss to Winnipeg on Saturday. Fleury has scuffled in his last five contests, going 1-2-2 with 18 goals allowed. His stats are mediocre this season, with a 17-13-5 record, a 2.87 GAA and an .899 save percentage, but Fleury still has gas in the tank at 39 years of age. He could continue to morph his game into one like Jonathan Quick. As the season draws to an end, the Wild could give more playing time to youngster Jesper Wallstedt to see what he can do, and that means Fleury could end up watching some additional contests from the bench or the press box.
