  • Senators' Blake Vanek: Two of each in WHL win

Vanek scored twice and added two assists in WHL Calgary's 8-5 win over Lethbridge on Saturday. Vanek had gone nine games without a multi-point effort, earning just a goal and an assist in that span. The winger stepped up with a big performance, arguably his best of the season. He concluded the regular season with 19 goals and 36 points over 68 appearances, playing well at times but lacking in consistency overall.

  • Senators' Blake Vanek: Scores two goals in WHL loss

Vanek scored two goals in WHL Calgary's 4-3 loss to Edmonton on Saturday. Vanek has been a finisher for the Hitmen since his Jan. 7 trade from Wenatchee. He has seven goals in 17 games with Calgary, though he snapped a nine-game point drought with Saturday's performance. Overall, he's at 15 goals and 25 points across 54 appearances in his first junior season.

  • Senators' Blake Vanek: Two goals in WHL loss

Vanek scored two goals in WHL Calgary's 5-2 loss to Kelowna on Friday. Vanek has racked up three goals over four games with the Hitmen after posting just eight goals and 10 assists over 37 contests with Wenatchee to begin the season. The 18-year-old winger should get a boost playing for a more competitive team, though his role may be a bit smaller as well. The Senators prospect has showcased some upside but has a long way to go.

  • Senators' Blake Vanek: Pots pair in WHL loss

Vanek scored twice in WHL Wenatchee's 5-3 loss to Portland on Sunday. Vanek has 10 points over 18 games this season, but he's earned all five of his goals as well as two assists across his last six outings. The winger appears to be finding his way now after a slow start to the campaign. The Senators prospect is in his first year in the WHL, so chalk up the slow scoring pace to a combination of adjusting to a new league and playing for a last-place team.

  • Senators' Blake Vanek: Big game for Wenatchee

Vanek scored twice on five shots and added an assist in WHL Wenatchee's 6-3 win over Portland on Friday. Vanek's first season of WHL play is off to a relatively modest start with two goals and four assists over 13 games. This was his second multi-point effort of the season. Vanek, son of former NHL winger Thomas Vanek, should display a scoring touch over time as he gets comfortable with his new team. The 18-year-old was selected in the third round by the Senators in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
