  • Bruins' Mason Lohrei: Draws helper Thursday

Lohrei recorded an assist, two blocked shots and a minus-3 rating in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Stars.

Lohrei had been held off the scoresheet over his last nine games before helping out on a Charlie Coyle tally in the first period. The 23-year-old Lohrei has a chance to carve out a larger role in the absence of Hampus Lindholm (lower body), who is expected to be out multiple weeks. In addition to top-four minutes at even strength, Lohrei also appears to have the first chance to replace Lindholm on the second power-play unit. Lohrei is at five points, 15 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 14 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Bruins' Trent Frederic: Plucks apple in loss

Frederic notched an assist, two hits and two PIM in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Stars.

Frederic snapped his eight-game point drought on a Charlie Coyle tally in the first period. The 26-year-old Frederic has not been able to match his pace from 2023-24, which saw him rack up 40 points in 82 regular-season games. He has four points, 22 shots on net, 55 hits, 19 PIM and a minus-12 rating across 18 contests this season, though he remains firmly in a third-line role.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Keeps point streak alive

Pastrnak scored a goal and took two shots in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Stars.

The Bruins didn't have a chance in this game, but the star winger found a way to leave his mark with a goal in the third period -- his eighth of the season. The 28-year-old has scored in back-to-back games for the third time in 2024-25 and also extended his point streak to four contests, recording two goals and four assists in that span.

  • Bruins' Charlie Coyle: Scores in blowout loss Thursday

Coyle scored a goal, took three shots and recorded a hit in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Stars.

The Bruins looked drastically overmatched throughout this entire contest, but Coyle made his presence felt by notching his third goal of the campaign. That said, the center has only three goals and four points across 18 contests in 2024-25. His production has been minimal and doesn't warrant serious consideration for a roster spot, but it's worth noting he's more valuable in formats that reward physicality since he's also racked up 29 hits and 17 blocked shots.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Woeful showing Thursday

Swayman stopped 31 of 38 shots in Thursday's 7-2 loss to the Stars.

Swayman gave up a season-high mark in goals and had a disastrous performance overall, giving up at least two goals each period. He entered this game posting the worst numbers of his career in several categories, and this outing made his season-long marks even worse. He's now 1-2-1 with a 3.75 GAA and an .875 save percentage over his last four starts.

  • Bruins' Patrick Brown: Summoned from AHL

Brown was recalled from AHL Providence on Thursday.

Brown was sent down to the AHL before the start of the season and managed three goals, four assists and 30 shots on goal over 12 games with Providence. Brown will likely be the 13th forward in Dallas, and if so, he will watch the game from the press box.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Between pipes Thursday

Swayman will patrol the visiting crease in Dallas on Thursday, according to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe.

Swayman has paid the price for missing training camp due to a contract holdout, as he is 5-5-2 with a 3.03 GAA and an .896 save percentage, by far the worst results in his four-plus year NHL career. The 25-year-old will have a tough matchup versus the Stars, as Dallas is 9-5-0 this season, averaging 3.21 goals.

  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Set for extended absence

Lindholm is expected to miss "weeks," according to head coach Jim Montgomery, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports Wednesday.

Lindholm was chipping in solid offensive numbers prior to getting hurt, notching two goals and two assists in his last seven outings. Now, the 30-year-old blueliner figures to be sidelined for at least the rest of November given his "weeks" timeline. The team recalled Jordan Oesterle from AHL Providence on Wednesday and will likely deploy him in a third-pairing role during Lindholm's absence. Fantasy players can probably expect Lindholm to be placed on injured reserve in the next few days in order to free up a roster spot.

  • Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Sparks comeback

Geekie scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blues.

Geekie returned from a three-game stint as a healthy scratch and was immediately promoted to the top line. It paid off -- he got the Bruins on the board at 4:53 of the third period, sparking a three-goal comeback for the visitors. The 26-year-old has not had nearly as much success as he did with a 39-point regular season from 2023-24, earning just three points and 18 shots on net over 12 outings in 2024-25. He's not likely to stick on the top line long-term, but he could be an option there for a while as the Bruins look to find consistency on offense.

  • Bruins' Jordan Oesterle: Promoted from minors

Oesterle was called up from AHL Providence on Wednesday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.

Oesterle has yet to get into an NHL game this season after being waived and reassigned to Providence before the start of the 2024-25 campaign. The decision to bring up Oesterle doesn't bode well for Hampus Lindholm's (lower body) availability against Dallas on Thursday.

  • Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Two-point effort Tuesday

McAvoy scored a goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blues.

The 26-year-old defenseman played a big role in the Bruins' third-period comeback from a 2-0 deficit, scoring the tying goal midway through the final frame before setting up David Pastrnak for the game-winner with 1:47 left on the clock. McAvoy had just one point -- an assist -- over the prior 14 games, so Tuesday's performance could signal that he's finally ready to emerge from hibernation.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Leads charge in comeback win

Pastrnak scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blues.

The Bruins were down 2-0 heading into the third period, but the 28-year-old superstar took matters into his own hands down the stretch. After stealing the puck in the neutral zone and feeding Morgan Geekie for Boston's first goal early in the final frame, Pastrnak completed the comeback with 1:47 left, blasting a one-timer from the top of the faceoff circle that just squeaked through Jordan Binnington. Pastrnak snapped a seven-game goal drought with the game-winner, but he was far from invisible during that time, collecting six assists. On the season, he's racked up seven goals and 16 points in 17 contests, a disappointing pace considering he's coming off back-to-back campaigns with 110 points or more.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Hangs on for win Tuesday

Swayman turned aside 20 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blues.

Boston was down 2-0 heading into the third period, but Swayman shut the door in the final frame while David Pastrnak led a comeback. The 25-year-old netminder seems to have put a bumpy October behind him as he felt the weight of his big contract extension, and through four starts to begin November, Swayman is 2-1-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .924 save percentage.

  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Exits with lower-body injury

Lindholm (lower body) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Blues.

Lindholm suffered the injury in the first period. The 30-year-old defenseman can be considered day-to-day ahead of Thursday's game against the Stars. If he can't play, the Bruins may be forced to call up a defenseman, as Andrew Peeke (upper body) is considered week-to-week.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: In blue paint Tuesday

Swayman will guard the road crease against the Blues on Tuesday, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.

Swayman is 1-2-1 over his last four appearances, and he's allowed at least three goals in three of those contests. It may take some time for the 25-year-old to round into form after missing all of training camp due to a contract dispute. Swayman is 2-2-0 with a 3.26 GAA and an .865 GAA in four career appearances against the Blues. St. Louis has scored a meager 38 goals through 15 games.
