Bears' Joe Tryon-Shoyinka: Ready for divisional round
Tryon-Shoyinka (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Rams.
The 2021 first-round pick from Washington had missed Chicago's last two games due to a concussion sustained in the Week 17 loss to the 49ers. However, he practiced in full throughout the week and has now cleared the league's five-step protocol, allowing him to return for the divisional round. Now fully healthy, Tyron-Shoyinka is expected to play a depth role on the Bears' defensive line Sunday.

Bears' Joe Tryon-Shoyinka: Estimated as full participant
Tryon-Shoyinka (concussion) was listed as a full participant in Chicago's practice estimate Wednesday.
Tryon-Shoyinka has been sidelined since suffering a concussion during the Week 17 loss versus the 49ers but is seemingly trending toward making his return. However, the 2021 first-round pick will still need to clear the league's concussion protocol in order to play in Sunday's divisional-round matchup versus the Rams.

Bears' Joe Tryon-Shoyinka: Ruled out for wild-card round game
Tryon-Shoyinka (concussion) is ruled out for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Packers.
Tryon-Shoyinka will miss a second consecutive game due to a concussion, and he has yet to resume practicing in any capacity. The depth linebacker will need to fully clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to be eligible to retake the field for the Bears, should the team advance further in the NFC playoffs.

Bears' Joe Tryon-Shoyinka: Ruled out for Week 18
Tryon-Shoyinka (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Tryon-Shoyinka entered the league's concussion protocol during the Bears' Week 17 loss against the 49ers. He was unable to practice during Week 18 prep, and he would need to return to practice in at least a limited capacity in order to have a realistic chance of playing in the wild-card round of the NFC playoffs. Dominique Robinson should see more rotational snaps at defensive end behind starters Austin Booker and Montez Sweat in Tryon-Shoyinka's absence.

Bears' Joe Tryon-Shoyinka: Moving to Windy City
The Browns traded Tryon-Shoyinka and a seventh-round pick to the Bears for a sixth-round pick Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
A 2021 first-round pick, Tryon-Shoyinka joined forces with Cleveland in free agency in the offseason, but he found it difficult to break into a deep D-line, logging just 31 defensive snaps (and nine tackles) in eight appearances with the team. Chicago lost Dayo Odeyingbo to a torn Achilles in Week 9, so the addition of Tryon-Shoyinka is a step to help fortify its pass rush. Tryon-Shoyinka has 15.0 sacks across 74 career regular-season games between the Buccaneers and Browns.

Browns' Joe Tryon-Shoyinka: Could return Sunday
Tryon-Shoyinka (hip) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The 2021 first-round pick from Washington sustained a hip injury in the Browns' Week 6 loss to the Steelers, but after logging consecutive limited practice sessions, he's got a chance to play Sunday. Tryon-Shoyinka has appeared in all six of Cleveland's games this season, recording eight total tackles while primarily contributing on special teams. If he's unable to suit up for the Week 7 matchup, expect Cameron Thomas to operate as one of the Browns' top reserve defensive ends.
