Ravens' Jay Higgins: Clears concussion protocol
Higgins (concussion) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Higgins suffered a concussion in the Ravens' Aug. 15 preseason contest against the Eagles. The linebacker fully progressed through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol and has been cleared by an independent neurologist. Higgins is now all set to suit up for Sunday's Week 1 contest with the Colts.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Suffers concussion Saturday
Higgins has been ruled out from Saturday's preseason contest against Philadelphia due to a concussion, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.
Higgins logged three tackles prior to his exit. He'll need to clear the NFL's concussion protocol before retuning to full-contact practice or playing in games. If healthy, Higgins is expected to provide depth at linebacker and contribute on special teams during the upcoming campaign.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Activated for Sunday
The Ravens activated Higgins (knee) from injured reserve Saturday.
Higgins was placed on injured reserve Nov. 15 after playing in nine games for the Ravens. The linebacker is primarily a special teamer, and his return to the active roster means he will likely resume his role for the unit in Saturday night's game against the Packers.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Ruled out for Week 16
Higgins (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Higgins returned to practice this week but has been sidelined since Week 11. He'll remain on injured reserve for the time being, but he looks to have a decent chance to return in Week 17 after logging two limited practices to begin the week, followed by a full session Friday.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Resumes practicing
Higgins (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday and logged a limited practice, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
Higgins has been sidelined since Week 11 and is thus eligible to return at any point. He'll likely have to turn in a full session at some point this week to have a chance to suit up for Sunday night's game against the Patriots. Higgins is likely to return to a role on special teams.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Placed on injured reserve
The Ravens placed Higgins (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.
Higgins was injured in last Sunday's win over the Vikings and was given a multi-week timetable for return, so his placement on injured reserve makes sense. Higgins has seen all of his action on special teams this season, logging six tackles (three solo) on 152 snaps.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Set to miss a few weeks
Higgins (knee) is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
Higgins, unsurprisingly, did not practice Wednesday. He does not have a specific timeline, but his absence will leave a void on the Ravens' special teams unit.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Set to miss action moving forward
Higgins (knee) is expected to be sidelined for some time, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Higgins suffered a knee injury in the team's 27-19 win over the Vikings on Sunday, but it's not expected to be a season-ending issue for the linebacker. Head coach John Harbaugh confirmed the injury Monday, and it's unclear exactly how long Higgins is expected to be sidelined. In the meantime, his absence doesn't carry an impact defensively, considering Higgins hasn't logged a snap from scrimmage this season.

Ravens' Jay Higgins: Suffers injury in win
Higgins was spotted with a brace on his leg following Baltimore's win over the Vikings on Sunday, Giana Han of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Higgins could be in danger of missing extended time due to the leg injury he sustained in the victory. The rookie undrafted free agent has played exclusively on special teams across the first eight games of the season.
