  • Taillon allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out six over six-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Saturday. Taillon kept the hosts off the board through five frames, but gave up a run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth before Pete Crow-Armstrong tagged him for a solo shot in the seventh. This was Taillon's third straight quality start to begin September -- he's allowed just three runs over 19 innings this month. The right-hander is now at a 3.54 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 119:29 K:BB through 152.1 innings over 26 starts this season. His next outing is projected to be at home versus the Nationals.

  • Cubs' Jameson Taillon: Secures 10th win
    By RotoWire

Taillon (10-8) gave up one run on six hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings to earn the win over the Yankees on Sunday. The Cubs put up two runs in the first inning, and that was enough for Taillon to work with. He gave up one run in the second on a sacrifice fly. After posting a quality start in just one of his five outings in August, the veteran right-hander has two of them to begin September, allowing one run on nine hits and two walks over 13 innings this month. Taillon is now at a 3.57 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 113:28 K:BB through 146.1 innings over 25 starts this season. He's set for a tough task in his next start, which is projected to be at Colorado.

  • Taillon allowed three hits and one walk while striking out three batters over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Monday. Taillon cruised through his seven frames, needing a modest 89 pitches and yielding just four baserunners (on three singles, an error and a walk). The right-hander looked like he would emerge with a victory when he turned the game over to the bullpen with a 3-0 lead, but Jorge Lopez was tagged for four runs in the eighth to turn the tide of the contest. Nonetheless, this was a nice bounce-back for Taillon after he surrendered at least four runs in each of his previous four starts and posted a 6.75 ERA along with a 1.41 WHIP during that stretch.

For the season, the veteran right-hander has a 3.77 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 101:26 K:BB through 126.2 innings over 22 starts. His next outing is projected to be at Pittsburgh early next week.

    By RotoWire

Taillon (8-7) took the loss against Cleveland on Wednesday, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over six innings. Taillon got through three scoreless frames before the Guardians touched him up for two runs in the fourth. Cleveland scored twice more in the fifth, and the Cubs' offense managed only one run in the contest to send Taillon to his seventh loss of the campaign.
