  • Mets' Tyrone Taylor: Lifts homer
    By RotoWire

Taylor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Phillies. Taylor provided an equalizing solo home run in the eighth inning off Cristopher Sanchez. The long ball was Taylor's seventh of the season, and his first since July 24 (40 games). On the year, he's slashing .239/.288/.389 across 302 plate appearances.

  • Taylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles. Taylor had started in center field over Harrison Bader in both of the Mets' last two matchups with right-handed pitchers, but Bader is manning center field for the second time in the series while New York faces off against a lefty (Cole Irvin). Manager Carlos Mendoza hasn't indicated that the two outfielders have moved into a platoon, though Bader's ongoing slump might have opened up more opportunities for Taylor in the short term. Bader has gone 3-for-28 over his last 12 games heading into Wednesday.

  • Mets' Tyrone Taylor: Drives in three Sunday
    By RotoWire

Taylor went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Monday's win over the Cardinals. The veteran outfielder slapped a bases-loaded double down the right-field line in the fifth inning, giving the Mets some insurance runs in a 6-0 victory. Taylor got a rare start in right field against right-hander Andre Pallante with Jesse Winker getting a breather and Jeff McNeil needed at second base, but he's mostly fallen into a short-side platoon role since Winker was acquired. Taylor's been productive of late when called on though, batting .306 (11-for-36) over his last 12 games with three doubles, a homer, a steal, five RBI and seven runs.

  • Taylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels. Taylor had started in each of the Mets' last three games, but one of those starts came against a lefty, and another came while Harrison Bader was getting some rest coming off an ankle injury. With the Mets outfield at full strength, Taylor looks to be fourth in line for playing time behind Brandon Nimmo, Jesse Winker and Bader.

  • Taylor is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins, Tim Healey of Newsday reports. Taylor had started in five of the Mets' previous six games, but he'll likely fade back into a short-side platoon role in the outfield moving forward. In addition to getting center fielder Harrison Bader (ankle) back in the lineup following a five-game absence, the Mets will have the newly acquired Jesse Winker pick up his first start with the team in right field. Brandon Nimmo, Bader and Winker will likely form the Mets' preferred outfield trio against right-handed pitching.
