Wisdom hit a two-run home run, walked and scored another run in Saturday's 14-2 win against the Marlins. Wisdom entered as a pinch hitter in the eighth, walked and scored a run. Then in the ninth, took infielder Vidal Brujan deep for his first home run since July 28. Wisdom has been an afterthought in the Cubs' lineup the whole second half of the season, as he's started just three of their last 20 games. The 32-year-old has struggled with a .203/.272/.447 slash line through 58 games.

Wisdom is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers. The 32-year-old has started in just three of the Cubs' 18 games thus far in August and is expected to continue seeing limited usage while Michael Busch and Isaac Paredes are healthy and entrenched as the team's everyday starters in the corner infield. Wisdom has logged three straight seasons of 20-plus home runs, but he's slugged just six long balls so far in 2024 while receiving only 135 plate appearances.

Wisdom went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Royals. Wisdom entered the ninth inning 0-for-4 with two strikeouts, but he salvaged his day with the solo blast, his sixth home run of the season. The veteran also went deep Saturday, hitting a go-ahead grand slam off the bench. While it's been a nice burst for Wisdom, he's still in a reserve role for the Cubs, which keeps his fantasy value limited.

Wisdom hit a grand slam in his only at-bat in Saturday's 9-4 win against the Royals. Chicago trailed by one run in the seventh inning before loading the bases with one out. Wisdom was brought in to pinch hit for Pete Crow-Armstrong and promptly belted a grand slam to turn the deficit into a lead. The slugger continues to receive limited opportunities, as he's played in just seven games in July and started only two of those. However, he has been impactful of late, collecting two homers and five RBI over his past five at-bats.

Wisdom went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals. Wisdom entered the game as a defensive replacement in the fifth inning and later hit his fourth home run of the year in the ninth. The 32-year-old remains a clear bench player for the Cubs, with the likes of Michael Busch and Christopher Morel ahead of him at the corner infield spots, so Wisdom is unlikely to have a ton of fantasy value the rest of the way unless any regulars get hurt.
