The Mets acquired Stanek from the Mariners on Friday in exchange for outfielder Rhylan Thomas, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports. However, he's been a solid performer on the while this season while occupying a key late-inning role for Seattle, turning in a 4.38 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 15 holds and seven saves across 39 innings. The 33-year-old right-hander will likely work in a setup or middle-relief role in front of closer Edwin Diaz.
