After recording two hits in five at-bats during Friday's series opener, Yastrzemski will take a seat for San Francisco's penultimate game of the season. While he rests, Mark Canha, Grant McCray and Heliot Ramos will start across the outfield.

Yastrzemski went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 9-0 win over the Royals. Yastrzemski's three-run blast in the sixth inning was the fifth long ball of the game for the Giants. The 34-year-old has gone hitless in four of his past 10 contests but has also homered five times and driven in 11 runs in that span. On the season, he's batting .235 with 18 long balls, 56 RBI, 58 runs scored and three steals across 451 plate appearances.

Yastrzemski went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Orioles. Yastrzemski hit a leadoff homer for the second game in a row. He's gone deep four times over his last seven games to get up to 17 homers on the year, with his moderate power being one of the more reliable parts of his game this year. The outfielder has added a .236/.311/.447 slash line, 53 RBI, 56 runs scored and three stolen bases over 130 contests. Even with Tyler Fitzgerald healthy again after a back injury, Yastrzemski has held onto the leadoff spot against right-handers.

Yastrzemski took the second pitch of the game deep to right field for his fifth homer over 13 contests in September. He's posted just four other hits this month, but he's been decently productive with nine RBI and 10 runs scored. Overall, Yastrzemski has a .237/.312/.442 slash line with 16 homers, 52 RBI, 55 runs scored and three stolen bases through 129 contests.
