Yastrzemski isn't in the Giants' lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports. After recording two hits in five at-bats during Friday's series opener, Yastrzemski will take a seat for San Francisco's penultimate game of the season. While he rests, Mark Canha, Grant McCray and Heliot Ramos will start across the outfield.

Yastrzemski went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Orioles. Yastrzemski hit a leadoff homer for the second game in a row. He's gone deep four times over his last seven games to get up to 17 homers on the year, with his moderate power being one of the more reliable parts of his game this year. The outfielder has added a .236/.311/.447 slash line, 53 RBI, 56 runs scored and three stolen bases over 130 contests. Even with Tyler Fitzgerald healthy again after a back injury, Yastrzemski has held onto the leadoff spot against right-handers.
