Goodman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks. Goodman's power surge continues -- he's homered in back-to-back games and has swatted five long balls over his last seven contests. He's also gone 7-for-24 (.292) in that span, a significant improvement over his .192 batting average for the year. Goodman is up to 13 homers, 34 RBI, 23 runs scored and a .663 OPS through 206 plate appearances.

Goodman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks. Goodman came up big with a game-tying home run off Kevin Ginkel in the seventh inning. The 24-year-old catcher has started six of the Rockies last eight games and has four homers over that stretch. Goodman has been a pleasant surprise in the power department with 12 homers in 64 games this season, but he lacks in other categories as he's hitting just .190 with a .651 OPS.

Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs. Goodman will take a seat for the series finale after he started behind the dish Friday and Saturday. Even though he's unlikely to be used Sunday, Goodman paid huge dividends for fantasy managers that streamed him this weekend, as he went 3-for-4 with two home runs and seven RBI in Friday's 9-5 win. The Rockies have been running a three-man committee at catcher lately with Goodman, Jacob Stallings and Drew Romo, but Goodman's ability to play first base, corner outfield and designated hitter in addition to working behind the plate should enable him to handle a near-everyday role down the stretch.

Goodman went 3-for-4 with two home runs and seven RBI in Friday's 9-5 win over the Cubs. The 24-year-old took Javier Assad deep in the second inning for a two-run blast before breaking open a 5-5 tie with a grand slam off Nate Pearson in the eighth. Per Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com, Goodman is the second-youngest player in Rockies history to record seven or more RBI in a game -- Troy Tulowitzki was about a month younger in 2009 when he accomplished the feat. Goodman has been seeing consistent playing time in September, mainly behind the plate, and he's gone 7-for-25 (.280) with three of his 11 homers and eight of his 32 RBI on the season.

Goodman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers. Goodman will hit the bench after he started both of the previous two games at catcher, going 1-for-6 with a solo home run and a walk. Drew Romo will get a turn behind the dish Wednesday, and the Rockies also have a third catcher on the 28-man active roster in Jacob Stallings. With that in mind, the Rockies could treat the catcher spot as a three-man committee rather than relying heavily on Goodman down the stretch.
