  Faucher earned the save Saturday against Texas, allowing one run on two hits and one walk in the ninth inning. It wasn't easy for Faucher, who stranded the possible tying and go-ahead runs by getting Joc Pederson to pop up to end the game. The right-hander has a career-high 15 saves as Miami's primary closer this season, recording a respectable 3.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 56:23 K:BB over 58.2 innings. That said, Tyler Phillips and Lake Bachar are also in the ninth-inning mix for the Marlins.

Faucher has been sharp of late, holding opponents scoreless in seven of his last eight appearances, and he needed just six pitches to wrap things up Thursday.   Faucher earned a save against the Cardinals on Wednesday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work. Faucher entered in the ninth inning tasked with protecting a 2-0 lead. He needed nine pitches to retire the first batter he faced, then needed just seven more offerings to retire St. Louis' next two hitters. Faucher is clearly in the closer mix for the Marlins, as he has registered two of the team's past three saves and leads the squad with 10 saves on the campaign. Ronny Henriquez, who has notched three saves in July, worked in the eighth frame Wednesday.

  Faucher earned the save in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Padres, allowing one hit without recording a walk or strikeout over 1.2 scoreless innings. Faucher was called upon with one out and the tying run aboard in the eighth, and he delivered a five-out save on just 22 pitches. It was an encouraging effort after the 29-year-old blew a save Friday and entered Wednesday having allowed six earned runs across his previous eight outings. On the season, he's 9-for-14 in save chances with a 4.03 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 37:16 K:BB across 38 innings as part of a closer committee with Ronny Henriquez and Anthony Bender.

  Faucher worked the ninth inning and blew a save, allowing one run on one hit with no walks while striking out two, during Friday's 8-7 win against the Royals. Faucher blew his fifth save in 13 tries this season, allowing a game-tying home run off the bat of John Rave. The 29-year-old has allowed a homer in back-to-back appearances after previously not allowing one since May 26. It's a good sign for the right-hander that he was called upon to get the first save opportunity of the second half, considering he and Ronny Henriquez have been locked in a battled for the closer spot all season, but whether he gets these nods moving forward will be worth monitoring. The right-hander has a 4.21 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 37 strikeouts in 36.1 innings this season.
