Woo will be available out of the bullpen Friday in Game 5 of the ALCS versus the Blue Jays, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports. Woo had been a candidate to start Game 5, but the Mariners will instead turn to Bryce Miller for their final home game of the series. The 25-year-old Woo has not appeared in a game since Sept. 19 due to right pectoral inflammation, but he's healthy now and will give Seattle some length in relief, if needed.

Woo (pectoral) is tentatively lined up to start Game 5 of the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports. Woo was not on the Mariners' ALDS roster as he works his way back from right pectoral inflammation, but he is on the ALCS roster and had a successful live batting practice session Monday that he referred to as "a huge positive." If he recovers well from live BP, it sounds as though Woo will start on Friday in Game 5, if necessary. If that happens, he will have gone nearly a month between starts, as Woo's last appearance came Sept. 19 against the Astros.

The Mariners added Woo (pectoral) to their active roster for the ALCS against the Blue Jays, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports. President of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto indicated Saturday that Woo was expected to make the roster after sitting out the past few weeks due to pectoral inflammation, so it's not a surprise the right-hander is active for the championship series. The 25-year-old was Seattle's best starting pitcher during the regular season with a 2.94 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 198:36 K:BB across 186.2 innings, but he likely won't be available to pitch for the Mariners until later in the week when the series shifts to Seattle after the first two games in Toronto.

President of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto said Saturday that Woo (pectoral) is expected to be included on the Mariners' ALCS roster, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports. Woo threw a bullpen session Friday as the latest step in his recovery from right pectoral inflammation, and the Mariners seemingly are pleased enough with his progress to feel comfortable including him in their pitching plans for the ALCS against Toronto. Dipoto noted that the 25-year-old righty likely won't be available for the first few games of the series, so his postseason debut will presumably come after the series moves to Seattle for Games 3 and 4.

Woo (pectoral) isn't on the Mariners' roster for the ALDS, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. Woo missed the final couple of weeks of the regular season due to right pectoral inflammation. He tossed a bullpen session Thursday that the Mariners considered successful, but evidently not successful enough to include him in the team's pitching plans for its ALDS matchup against the Tigers. The 25-year-old will be eligible to return in the ALCS if Seattle advances.
