Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Taking next steps in recovery
Aranda will have the pins removed from his surgically repaired right ring finger Monday, MLB.com reports.
Aranda has continued to engage in all baseball activities besides swinging, but with the pins getting removed, he should be able to start taking some hacks in the batter's box. The Rays haven't provided an exact timeline for Aranda to return from the 10-day injured list, though early or mid-May could be a realistic target.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Hits homer for lone run in loss
Pasquantino went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Mets.

After an ice-cold start to the season, he's gone 8-for-15 with nine RBI over his last four contests. Pasquantino remains the Royals' top option at first base, though he could also lose some at-bats versus left-handed pitchers if Nick Loftin sees more time at first once Michael Massey (back) joins the competition for playing time at second base.
