France went 1-for-1 with an RBI single, three walks and a run in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.

Fresh off a four-hit tally Tuesday, France played some small ball to perfection a day later with a pesky effort that featured his third multi-walk tally over his last 11 games. The veteran infielder carries a .353 average and astounding .511 on-base percentage over the 45 plate appearances covering that span, a sample during which he's also knocked in 10 runs thanks to a .714 average with runners in scoring position.

Singleton went 1-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored Wednesday against the Marlins.

Singleton has started every game since Aug. 10, when Jose Abreu (back) was placed on the injured list. He's struggled for the majority of that stretch, collecting only four hits in 25 at-bats. While Singleton has run into some bad luck -- he's struck out at only an 11.5 percent clip -- his playing time will almost certainly dry up as soon as Abreu can return, which is likely to occur Sunday.

Arias went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Reds.

Arias' fifth-inning blast cut the Guardians' deficit to three runs, but they didn't score again. Arias has just six hits over 12 games in August, but three of those knocks have gone over the fence. He's slashing .199/.286/.342 with seven homers, a stolen base, 13 RBI and 20 runs scored through 220 plate appearances. The 23-year-old has seen time at first base, shortstop and third base in the last week, filling a utility role while still being a part of the regular lineup most of the time.

Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Padres.

Mountcastle has hit safely in five straight games and 17 of his last 18 contests. Over that longer span, he's gone 26-for-64 (.406) with four homers, four doubles and 13 RBI. The first baseman is slashing .271/.315/.476 with 16 long balls, 55 RBI, 51 runs scored and three stolen bases through 90 contests overall. He continues to hold down a near-everyday role between first base and designated hitter.

Torkelson went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Twins.

After going deep Tuesday night, Torkelson hit two more long balls during Wednesday afternoon's contest, bringing him to 21 home runs for the season. The 23-year-old slugger now has four multi-homer games this year, including two of them in the last week against Minnesota.

Raley went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-1 victory over the Giants.

Raley's 17th home run of the year was certainly his most unusual -- he blasted a Ross Stripling offering 425 feet off the top of the right-field wall before it ricocheted away from the Giants outfielders, giving Raley plenty of time to cruise into home standing up. The homer was Raley's second in his last four games following a 1-for-18 slump over his previous six contests. Overall, his slash line is up to .257/.340/.517 with 49 runs scored, 43 RBI and 12 steals across 288 plate appearances this season.

O'Hearn is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Padres.

O'Hearn went 4-for-6 with a homer, a double, two walks and two runs scored over the first two games of the Orioles' three-game series in San Diego, but he'll hit the bench Wednesday with left-hander Blake Snell toeing the slab for the opposition. Ryan Mountcastle is playing first base and Anthony Santander will cover right field.

Kirilloff (shoulder) has been swinging a bat and will be evaluated for a possible rehab assignment early next week, The Athletic reports.

Kirilloff received a cortisone shot for his strained right shoulder in early August. It sounds like he could return in early September if he continues to make progress.

Beaty will start at first base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Beaty will be rewarded with his fourth start in five games after recording a pair of base hits and scoring a run in Tuesday's 10-8 loss. With Nick Pratto (groin) still stuck on the injured list and with Edward Olivares having recently been optioned to Triple-A Omaha, the lefty-hitting Beaty could be in store for steady playing time versus right-handed pitching.

Cron is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Rangers.

Cron went 2-for-4 with two singles and a run scored Tuesday versus Texas after sitting out Sunday and Monday due to back tightness. Maybe it's still an issue. Mike Moustakas will start at first base and bat cleanup for the Angels on Wednesday.
