Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Takes seat Tuesday
Casas is absent from the Red Sox' lineup for Tuesday's game in Tampa Bay.
The Rays are throwing left-hander Shane McClanahan, so it's not a surprise to see Casas on the bench even though he's been better against lefties in a very limited sample this season. Bobby Dalbec will get the call at first base. The Red Sox are lined up to face a lot of lefties over the next week, so it's not a great time to have Casas in your fantasy lineup.

Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Heads to 60-day IL
The Mariners recalled White from Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday and placed him on the 60-day injured list with a left adductor strain.
White suffered the injury while playing in an April 1 game with Tacoma, but he'll be moved to the 60-day major-league IL so that the Mariners can open up a 40-man roster spot. The 26-year-old hasn't appeared in a game at the MLB level since May 2021 due to a combination of injuries and ineffectiveness. He holds a career .165/.235/.308 big-league batting line.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Makes season debut
Dalbec went 1-for-1 as a pinch hitter then finished the game at first base in Monday's 1-0 loss to the Rays.
Dalbec batted for Triston Casas in the eighth inning against lefty reliever Colin Poche for his his first appearance of 2023. He was called up when the Red Sox placed center fielder Adam Duvall (wrist) on the injured list. Dalbec got the call over natural center fielder Jarren Duran, because Boston is expected to see seven lefties in the next eight games, making the righty-hitting Dalbec a better offensive fit at this time, according to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. However, the team could promote Duran after the upcoming stretch and move Dalbec back to Triple-A Worcester. For now, Red Sox manager Alex Cora plans to rotate Rob Refsnyder, Raimel Tapia and the team's primary shortstop, Enrique Hernandez, in center. When Hernandez starts in the outfield, Cora could use Dalbec as a replacement at short, although Yu Chang is the most likely option.

Ryan Mountcastle 1B | BAL
Orioles' Ryan Mountcastle: Swats third homer
Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 5-1 win over the Athletics.
Mountcastle put the Orioles ahead 2-1 in the first inning with his lone hit of the game, and it was all they needed to win. The first baseman has an extra-base hit in four of his last six games. For the season, he's up to three homers, nine RBI, seven runs scored, one stolen base and a .244/.289/.561 slash line through 10 contests.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Summoned from Triple-A
The Red Sox recalled Dalbec from Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
He's taking the roster spot vacated by Adam Duvall (wrist). Dalbec has started games at first base, third base and shortstop this season at Worcester and could see playing time in the infield if the Red Sox want to use Enrique Hernandez in center field while Duvall is out. He probably won't play enough or hit well enough to be worthy of a fantasy roster spot, though.

Donovan Solano 1B | TEX
Twins' Donovan Solano: Gets sixth straight start
Solano will start at first base and bat fifth in Monday's game against the White Sox.
Due to various regulars getting days off in addition to Joey Gallo (side) having now been sidelined for three straight games, Solano will stick in the lineup for the sixth consecutive contest. When the Twins are at full strength, Solano will likely fade into a short-side platoon role, but he looks like he could be in store for a quasi-everyday role in the short term. He'll take a four-game hitting streak into Monday's series opener.

Triston Casas 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Triston Casas: Tallies two extra-base hits
Casas went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBI in Sunday's 4-1 victory over Detroit.
Casas got a day off against a left-handed pitcher Saturday, but he was back in action during Sunday's series finale against Detroit. Although he hit eighth in the order, he logged two of the Tigers' three extra-base hits in the victory. Over his first nine games of the season, he's hit .185 with two home runs, two doubles, seven RBI and three runs.

Bobby Dalbec 1B | CHW
Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Slated to join major-league club
Dalbec will join the Red Sox ahead of their upcoming series in Tampa Bay that begins Monday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
After missing out on Boston's Opening Day roster, Dalbec should be activated Monday, but an official move won't be made Sunday. However, the 27-year-old has defensive versatility and would provide depth if Adam Duvall (wrist) requires a trip to the injured list. Dalbec slashed .215/.283/.369 with 12 homers, 40 runs, 39 RBI and three steals over 117 games with the big-league club last year, and the right-handed hitter should have a chance to earn playing time in Tampa Bay since the Rays are slated to start three southpaws during the four-game series.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Sitting out day game
Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
After starting in each of the Rays' last four games, Diaz will take a seat in the series finale in what appears to be a routine maintenance day. Luke Raley will fill in for Diaz at first base and will bat cleanup.

Andrew Vaughn 1B | MIL
White Sox's Andrew Vaughn: Crosses plate four times Saturday
Vaughn went 2-for-3 with two walks and four runs scored in Saturday's 11-5 win over the Pirates.
The first baseman crossed the plate all four times he got on base in a true team effort from the White Sox. Vaughn is still looking for his first homer of 2023, but he's batting .276 (8-for-29) through eight games with four doubles, five runs and seven RBI, and he boasts a .432 OBP thanks to an impressive 6:5 BB:K. It's only a matter of time before the 25-year-old puts one over the fence.
