Lowe went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 4-3 victory over the Rays.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Clubs 19th homer
France went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 8-7 loss to the Angels.
France helped halve the Mariners' deficit with his seventh-inning blast. He had gone 7-for-43 (.163) with five extra-base hits over 11 games since his last multi-hit effort. The 28-year-old infielder is up to a .277/.341/.443 slash line with 19 homers, 73 RBI, 55 runs scored and 23 doubles through 123 contests. He should be able to handle an everyday role as long as a nagging wrist injury that's cost him some time over the last couple of months doesn't flare up again.

Mariners' Carlos Santana: Homers twice in Friday's loss
Santana went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and a walk in Friday's 8-7 loss to the Angels.

Royals' Nick Pratto: Out Friday against righty
Pratto is not in Friday's lineup against the Red Sox.
Pratto is hitting .103 with a 40 percent strikeout rate in 11 games this month, and things have gotten so bad that he's out of Friday's lineup even against a right-hander in Michael Wacha. Vinnie Pasquantino is starting at first base, while MJ Melendez is the designated hitter.

Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Sitting Friday
Aranda is not in Friday's lineup against the Rangers.
Aranda's strong hit tool has translated well so far to the majors, but his defensive shortcomings have also been apparent. He is slashing .316/.409/.579 with one home run, five strikeouts and three walks in 22 plate appearances this month. Taylor Walls is starting at second base while Christian Bethancourt starts at first base.

Abreu has shown no signs of slowing down overall, posting a .313/.386/.458 line across 616 plate appearances on the campaign.
