Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Mariners.

Mountcastle had the Orioles' lone hit Tuesday, and he was also on the front end of a double-steal with Adley Rutschman in the fourth inning. Though he's hit well for much of June, Mountcastle has cooled off by going 3-for-20 in his last five games. He's still hitting a steady .271/.306/.478 with 13 home runs, 38 RBI, 33 runs scored and three steals through 271 plate appearances.

Kirilloff is out of the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Guardians.

Southpaw Konnor Pilkington is on the mound for the Guardians in Game 2, so the lefty-hitting Kirilloff will cede his spot at first base to the righty-hitting Jose Miranda. In the Twins' 3-2 loss in Game 1, Kirilloff went 0-for-3 with a strikeout.

Santana is batting fifth and starting at first base in his debut for the Mariners on Tuesday against the Orioles, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

He didn't join the team after the trade from Kansas City in time to get into action Monday, but Santana slots right into the middle of the lineup for his debut. The veteran first baseman is hitting .357/.478/.554 with two home runs in 17 games this month.

Rizzo (elbow) will start at first base and bat third in Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Rizzo looked to be in considerable pain after he took a 95 mile-per-hour fastball off his right elbow in Monday's 9-5 win, prompting the Yankees to pull him from the contest an inning later. His early exit looks to have been mostly precautionary, as Rizzo wasn't diagnosed with any structural damage to the elbow and is back in the lineup just one day later. Rizzo's ability to quickly bounce back from the injury scare is a welcome sight for fantasy managers, whom he rewarded with his 20th home run of the season Monday prior to his departure.

France (elbow) is already hitting in the batting cage, and manager Scott Servais remains hopeful that the infielder spends the minimum 10 days on the injured list, the Associated Press reports.

This news would naturally be highly encouraging under any circumstance, but particularly in the wake of several Mariners players receiving multi-game suspensions for their role in Sunday's brawl against the Angels. A return in the minimum amount of time by France is far from guaranteed this early into his rehab process despite Servais' optimism, but his progress over coming days should either validate or dispel that notion. France was placed on the IL on Saturday after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 flexor strain of his left elbow.

Mountcastle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 9-2 win over the Mariners.

Mountcastle hadn't homered since going yard twice June 15 versus the Blue Jays. In his last 11 contests, he's batted .289 (13-for-45) with five extra-base hits. The 25-year-old is up to a .271/.307/.482 slash line with 13 homers, 38 RBI, 33 runs scored, two stolen bases and 14 doubles through 63 games overall. He should continue to see regular playing time at first base while also featuring at designated hitter and in left field on occasion.

Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Monday against the Angels.

Vaughn recorded his 13th double of the season to drive in Tim Anderson in the sixth inning. He came around to score later in the same frame and snapped a three-game hitless streak. Vaughn has been dealing with leg soreness of late, which has limited him to duties as the designated hitter or serving as the White Sox's first baseman. It's possible the soreness has also sapped some of Vaughn's power as the double was his first extra-base hit in his last five starts.

Pasquantino will bat sixth and serve as the designated hitter in his major-league debut Tuesday against Texas.

Pasquantino was called up Monday but didn't appear in the series opener, though that was reportedly due to his late arrival at the stadium rather than the fact the Royals were facing a lefty in Martin Perez. He'll get his first taste of the big leagues here against righty Jon Gray and is expected to face both lefties and righties going forward.

Naylor will sit for the first half of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins.

The Guardians will likely sit a handful of their regulars in one of the day's two contests. With lefty Devin Smeltzer starting in the afternoon game and righty Josh Winder set to take the mound for the nightcap, it makes sense for Naylor to take Game 1 off. Owen Miller will start at first base.

Kirilloff went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI in Monday's 11-1 win over the Guardians. He also reached base on a hit-by-pitch.

Kirilloff reached base in four of his five plate appearances on the night, and the only time he didn't, he drove in Gilberto Celestino on a sacrifice fly. Since getting a call-up from Triple-A St. Paul on June 17, Kirilloff has hit .303 with 10 RBI and four runs, though he has yet to hit a home run in his 10 games. He'll start at first base and bat fifth in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with Cleveland, and Kirilloff should have a hold on a full-time role at least until Jorge Polanco (back) comes off the injured list.
