Calhoun isn't starting Monday against the Orioles.

Calhoun is getting a day off after he went 2-for-16 with two homers, four RBI and nine strikeouts over the last four games. Steven Duggar will take over in left field and bat seventh.

Mountcastle went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in a 3-1 win over the Twins on Sunday.

Mountcastle added to his extra-base hit totals, belting his 14th home run and 18th double of the year off Devin Smeltzer. The 25-year-old first baseman has continued to make strides this season. He has maintained a home run pace similar to last season when he went yard 33 times while making better contact and getting on base more consistently. Mountcastle is slashing .283/.321/.506, and the young power hitter's development is a bright spot for an Orioles team in a rebuilding year.

Clemens went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Royals.

Clemens had been seeing time at first base lately, but he shifted to second Sunday with Spencer Torkelson (head) returning to the lineup. Clemens already didn't have a ton of fantasy value with just a .146 batting average this season, and now his playing time is likely to decrease moving forward, though he should still see some starts as an infield reserve.

Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Royals.

The Tigers were unable to keep up with the Royals offensively Sunday, but Torkelson put Detroit on the board with his fifth homer of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning. The 22-year-old's bat has been quiet recently, as he's hit just .167 with a homer, a double, three runs and two RBI over his last nine games. However, it's been encouraging to see him play in the last two matchups after being hit in the head by a pitch during Friday's series opener.

Guerrero went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Rays.

Guerrero knocked an RBI single in the third inning before adding an RBI double in the ninth. He went 3-for-22 over his previous five games since his last multi-hit effort June 28. The star slugger still owns a mildly disappointing .267/.353/.497 slash line with 31 extra-base hits and 53 RBI through 79 games. On the bright side, Guerrero posted a .938 OPS with nine homers in June.

Mariners manager Scott Servais said France (elbow) won't be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday when first eligible, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Since landing on the shelf June 25 with the Grade 2 left flexor strain, France hasn't resumed hitting on the field, which is a major hurdle he'll need to clear before a potential return date will come into focus. Servais left the door open for France to make it back to action by next weekend, but that'll hinge on how much progress he demonstrates in his workouts over the next few days. Carlos Santana should continue to serve as Seattle's primary first baseman while France is on the shelf.

Mountcastle went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored Saturday in the Orioles' 4-3 loss to the Twins.

Mountcastle has now produced a double in three straight games, bringing his total up to 17 for the season. He'll be included in the lineup for Sunday's series finale, manning first base and batting third.

Naylor is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

With southpaw Jordan Montgomery on the bump for the Yankees in the series finale, the lefty-hitting Naylor will retreat to the bench. Platoon mate Owen Miller replaces Naylor at first base.

Torkelson (head) will start at first base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Royals.

The prized rookie was hit in the head by a pitch in Friday's series opener and sat out Saturday's 4-3 win as a result, but he apparently passed all concussion tests in advance of Sunday's contest and will reclaim his spot in the lineup. Torkelson closed June with a .167/.224/.205 slash line and hasn't demonstrated the improvement the Tigers were counting on after what had been an already rough start to his big-league career.

Calhoun's first long ball was a three-run shot that gave Texas its first lead in the second inning, and he added on to that with a solo homer in the fourth. Prior to Saturday, the veteran outfielder had been mired in a power drought, going deep just once over his previous 29 games. Calhoun has been a streaky hitter throughout his career, so he's worth keeping an eye on to see if Saturday's performance is the start of another hot period.
