Rays' Yandy Diaz: Batting practice scheduled
Diaz (hamstring) will take batting practice at the Rays' alternate training site Sunday and Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Diaz has been slowly progressing through his recovery, but he could make a significant step if all goes well in his hitting session. However, it's unclear whether he'll be able to return for the final week of the regular season or for the Rays' playoff run.

Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Feeling slightly dizzy
Guerrero is "a little dizzy" Saturday and is being held out of the starting lineup as a result, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
A pitch grazed Guerrero's helmet and face Friday, and manager Charlie Montoyo said that he's being held out because he's experiencing dizziness. Montoyo didn't sound too concerned about the issue, but Travis Shaw could continue to serve at first base with Joe Panik playing at third if Guerrero is forced to miss any additional time.

Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Not starting Saturday
Guerrero isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Phillies.
Guerrero has made 13 consecutive starts for the Blue Jays, but he'll take a seat after going 1-for-10 with one run, one RBI and one strikeout over the past three games. Travis Shaw will shift to first base with Joe Panik starting at third Saturday.

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Dealing with hand issue
Gurriel isn't in Saturday's lineup against the Diamondbacks due to a hand issue, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Manager Dusty Baker said prior to Saturday's contest that Gurriel is getting a "physical and mental day off." However, he didn't sound too concerned about Gurriel's hand and said that the first baseman should be back in the lineup Sunday.

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Gets breather Saturday
Gurriel isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Diamondbacks, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Gurriel started in each of the last four games and went 1-for-14 with two strikeouts during that time. He'll retreat to the bench Saturday as Aledmys Diaz (quadriceps) returns to action at first base.

Olson went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in Friday's 6-0 win over the Giants.
Olson broke the game open in the third inning with his 14th home run of the season. While Olson's strikeout rate is up -- just under 30 percent -- his .191 batting average is worse than he deserves. Olson has just a .200 BABIP and Statcast gives him an xBA of .239 through 214 plate appearances.

Mariners' Evan White: Homers in loss
White went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Friday's loss to the Padres.
White got the Mariners on the scoreboard with a 403-foot solo blast against Pierce Johnson in the bottom of the eighth inning. The long ball was the sixth of the year for the 24-year-old, who is batting .177/.256/.340 overall.

Red Sox's Bobby Dalbec: Out of Friday's lineup
Dalbec is not in the lineup Friday against the Yankees, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Dalbec started the past four games and will receive a day off after going 2-for-15 with 10 strikeouts. Michael Chavis receives the start at first base while J.D. Martinez takes over in left field.

Rays' Nate Lowe: Multi-hit effort in nightcap
Lowe went 2-for-3 with an RBI single and two runs during a win over the Orioles in the second game of a doubleheader Thursday.
Lowe's fifth-inning hit was a big one, as it snapped a 6-6 tie and ignited a four-run rally for the Rays in the seven-inning contest. The 25-year-old has been seeing regular playing time at first base in the absence of Ji-Man Choi (hamstring) and making good use of it, hitting .409 (9-for-22) with a double, three home runs, nine RBI, four walks, one steal and seven runs over his last seven games.
