  • C.J. Cron 1B | BOS

Twins' C.J. Cron: Smacks 15th homer

Cron went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Thursday against the Mariners.

Cron took Tayler Scott deep in the seventh inning to record his 15th homer of the season. He continues to provide power production in bundles, racking up eight extra-base hits and 11 RBI in his past 11 games. For the season, Cron has maintained an impressive .275/.337/.541 line across 246 plate appearances.

  • Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT

Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Sits vs. southpaw

O'Hearn is not in the lineup Thursday against the Tigers, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

O'Hearn will take a seat for Thursday's series finale with left-hander Matthew Boyd starting for the Tigers. In his place, Cheslor Cuthbert is starting at first base and hitting third.

  • Yandy Diaz 1B | TB

Rays' Yandy Diaz: Raps out three hits in loss

Diaz went 3-for-5 with an RBI double and was caught stealing on his only attempt in a loss to the Athletics on Wednesday.

Diaz tried his best to set the table from the top of the order, but the hitters behind him repeatedly failed to get him around the bases. The 27-year-old's multi-hit effort was just the latest installment of his successful month at the plate, one during which he's generated a .326 average partly on the strength of four multi-hit tallies. Diaz has notably proven to be a rousing success as a leadoff hitter overall this season, as he's now hitting .360 with 10 extra-base hits (four doubles, one triple, five home runs) and 10 RBI out of that slotting in the lineup.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Hits another dinger

Olson went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs in a 6-2 victory against the Rays on Wednesday.

For the second straight day, the 25-year-old smashed a home run, but he also has four long balls in his last six games. Since June 5, Olson is batting .345 (10-for-29) with those four homers and nine RBI in nine contests. Overall, he is hitting .238 with 11 home runs, 21 RBI and 20 runs in 126 at-bats.

  • Carlos Santana 1B | ARI

    Indians' Carlos Santana: Homers again

Santana went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and walk during a 7-2 loss to the Reds on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old has homered on two straight days, but both were of the solo variety. Santana has showed a lot of power lately, posting nine home runs in his last 24 games. Overall, he is batting .286 with 14 home runs, 42 RBI, 42 runs and one steal in 234 at-bats this season.

  • Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL

Blue Jays' Rowdy Tellez: Smacks grand slam

Tellez went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and a stolen base in a win against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Tellez took Miguel Castro deep in the fifth inning to record his 10th homer of the season and the first grand slam of his career. He's been cold at the plate of late, with Wednesday's homer his first since May 22. Moreover, Tellez has managed just five hits in his last 35 at-bats overall. As a result, he's lost playing time, with Wednesday's start just his third in the team's last seven games. He's now hitting .227/.280/.432 across 200 plate appearances for the season.

  • Matt Olson 1B | ATL

Athletics' Matt Olson: Leaves yard in win

Olson went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Olson slugged the first of two round trippers off Emilio Pagan in the sixth, plating Matt Chapman to erase a 2-1 deficit for the Athletics. Olson now has three homers in the last five games, a stretch during which he's driven in six of his eight RBI for June.

  • Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT

Royals' Ryan O'Hearn: Pops sixth homer

O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Tigers.

His seventh-inning shot got the Royals on the board, setting up a two-run eighth to complete the comeback. The team was hoping O'Hearn could provide it with some power this season, but his .192/.292/.341 slash line and six homers in 55 games has been a disappointment.

  • Justin Bour 1B | SF

Angels' Justin Bour: Homers in return to majors

Bour went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in a win over the Dodgers on Tuesday.

After an 18-game stint in the minors, Bour returned to the big leagues with a bang, launching a three-run shot to center field in the first inning. The blast would prove to be Bour's only hit of the game, and his pair of strikeouts suggest that he may not have eliminated his early-season struggles just yet. Though Bour has hit five homers in 102 at-bats, he has also whiffed 33 times and is batting a meager .167.

  • Yuli Gurriel DH | SD

Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Clubs fifth homer

Gurriel went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, a stolen base, two runs scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 10-8 win over the Brewers.

The 35-year-old went yard for the first time since May 21, giving Gurriel five homers on the year to go with a mediocre .260/.289/.402 slash line. His defensive versatility has kept him in the lineup, but once the Astros get healthier, Gurriel could see his playing time dwindle.
