Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yulieski Gurriel: Gets breather Monday
Gurriel is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.
Gurriel will head to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off after starting eight straight games, a stretch in which he's hit .321/.345/.536 with five RBI. In his place, Tyler White will start at first base and bat eighth.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Remains out Monday
Abreu (shin) is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.
Abreu is still dealing with some soreness after fouling a ball off his shin Saturday, so he'll start on the bench for a second straight contest. He'll remain a day-to-day case; Matt Davidson will start at first base Monday, with Rymer Liriano serving as the designated hitter.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Out with sore shin
Abreu is out of Sunday's lineup due to shin soreness, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
A foul ball hit Abreu's shin during Saturday's game, and he's feeling some residual soreness as a result. Manager Rick Renteria said it's possible that Abreu will sit out Monday as well to avoid further aggravating the injury. If he does end up resting Monday, Matt Davidson would be the likely candidate to fill in at first base.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Indians' Carlos Santana: Not playing Sunday
Santana (shoulder) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.
Santana received an X-ray on his shoulder, and although the results have yet to be revealed, the team downplayed the severity of the injury Saturday. Edwin Encarnacion will start at first base Sunday with Santana out.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Day off Sunday
Abreu is out of the lineup Sunday against the Royals, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
Abreu drove in Chicago's only two runs in Saturday's loss to the Royals. That performance pushed him to the 100 RBI mark for the fourth consecutive year. He'll get the day off while Matt Davidson fills in at first base.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
White Sox's Jose Abreu: Reaches 100 RBI
Abreu went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Royals.
With those two runs knocked in, Abreu now has 100 RBI for the season, becoming the third player in major-league history to begin his career with four seasons of 25-plus home runs and 100-plus RBI. Abreu's production has dropped off in successive seasons since his impressive rookie year in 2014, fueling a perception that his name carried more value than his numbers. His 2017 season, a season in which his HR/FB ratio and isolated power ticked up, puts a halt to that conventional wisdom.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Indians' Carlos Santana: Undergoing tests on shoulder
Santana is getting an X-ray on his shoulder and likely won't play on Sunday, though manager Terry Francona doesn't appear concerned, Zack Meisel of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
This appears to be precautionary, but it's good to keep an eye out for the results and Santana's status before setting weekly lineups Monday -- if fantasy owners' leagues allow it.

Yandy Diaz 1B | TB
Indians' Yandy Diaz: Seeing drop in playing time
Diaz is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners.
Diaz started regularly at third base for most of the month, but he will open on the bench Saturday for the fourth day in a row while Giovanny Urshela gets another start at third base.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Athletics' Matt Olson: Launches 24th homer Friday
Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
Olson's September tear now has him at 13 home runs and 22 RBI with plenty of opportunities to add to those jaw-dropping numbers before season's end. The slugging rookie has gone deep in six of his last seven contests, although the round trippers have served as his only hits over that span. He also has only one other extra-base hit outside of the home runs this month.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yulieski Gurriel: Powers club to victory
Gurriel went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run during Friday's win over the Angels.
The 33-year-old Cuban has posted a solid fantasy season with 18 homers, 72 RBI, 65 runs and a .299/.330/.488 slash line. Gurriel is receiving consistent playing time, and the Houston lineup is deep enough that his fantasy value isn't hindered too much from hitting down the order.
