Pete Alonso 1B | BAL
Mets' Pete Alonso: Crushes Cubs with two homers
Alonso went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and six RBI in Monday's 11-2 win against the Cubs.
Alonso provided muscle early, slamming a three-run homer in the first inning and a two-run shot in the third. The first baseman finished his productive day with a run-scoring single in the eighth. The six RBI tied a career high, and the multi-homer effort was his fourth of the campaign. Alonso ranks third in the majors in both home runs (33) and RBI (83) on the season.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Gets day off against southpaw
Wade is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.
Wade will join fellow left-handed hitters Brandon Crawford and Joc Pederson on the bench while the Giants stock up on some extra right-handed bats to counter Angels southpaw Patrick Sandoval. Wilmer Flores will receive the starting nod at first base while Wade ducks out of the lineup.

Alfonso Rivas 1B | STL
Pirates' Alfonso Rivas: Sits in series opener
Rivas is out of the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.
After being acquired from the Padres and activated by the Pirates, Rivas started at first base in each of his first four games with Pittsburgh while going 4-for-14 with three extra-base hits and a pair of walks. He should be in line for the majority of the starts at first base when the Pirates face right-handed pitching, but Rivas will give way to Connor Joe on Monday even with a righty (Spencer Strider) taking the hill for Atlanta. Pirates manager Derek Shelton may have just wanted to reward Joe with a second straight start after Joe came through with a clutch solo home run in Sunday's win over the Brewers.

Jake Cronenworth 1B | SD
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Belts ninth homer
Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday in a loss to the Dodgers.
The Dodgers jumped out to a big early lead, so Cronenworth's solo shot in the seventh inning didn't make much of an impact on the outcome. Nonetheless, the long ball snapped a 25-game homerless drought for the utility man and marked the fourth time in his past six games that he's knocked in a run. Despite the lack of power, Cronenworth has been swinging a hot bat of late, putting together a nine-game hitting streak during which he's slashing .432/.462/.649 with five extra-base hits, four RBI, nine runs and two stolen bases.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Smacks three hits
Wade went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Athletics.
After slumping late in July, Wade has gone 7-for-18 (.389) with two home runs and four RBI over his first five games in August. The Giants continue to have Wade at first base while finding other spots for the red-hot Wilmer Flores. For the season, Wade is at a .270/.397/.430 slash line with 11 home runs, 32 RBI, 47 runs scored and two stolen bases through 97 games.

Joey Votto 1B | TOR
Reds' Joey Votto: Homers in loss
Votto went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's 6-3 loss to Washington.
The Reds were already down 4-0 when Votto stepped to the plate in the second inning and launched 12th homer in 38 games. The hit stanched an 0-for-12 slide for the slugger, whose last three hits have left the yard.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Swats clutch home run
Walker went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Twins.
Walker hit a timely home run off Caleb Thielbar in the top of the ninth to put the Diamondbacks ahead 3-2. It was his first home run since July 26 and his first RBI since July 29. Walker has cooled off a bit as of late, going 7-for-31 over his last 10 games. The 32-year-old is still having an impactful season, as he leads the team with 23 home runs and 69 RBI.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Goes deep, swipes bag
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, two runs scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win over San Diego.
Freeman belted a three-run homer in the second inning and later swiped second base after singling in the sixth. His terrific season has continued to get better recently; the veteran slugger has gone 15-for-29 (.517) with four steals and seven extra-base hits over his last seven games. On the year, Freeman owns a .339/.416/.595 slash line with 80 RBI, 97 runs scored and 65 extra-base hits.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Braves' Matt Olson: Keeps slugging Sunday
Olson went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and a walk in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Cubs.
Olson has maintained an impressive power surge lately, going 12-for-31 (.387) with seven homers and 17 RBI over his last nine games. He gave Atlanta a pair of leads in this game, but the Cubs continued to push back and went ahead for good in the fifth inning. The first baseman is up to 39 long balls this season, tying his career high and putting him one back of Shohei Ohtani for the major-league lead. Olson has added a .264/.370/.605 slash line with 97 RBI, 84 runs scored, one stolen base and 20 doubles through 109 contests.

Alfonso Rivas 1B | STL
Pirates' Alfonso Rivas: Nabs fourth straight start
Rivas will start at first base and bat third in Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Rivas will receive his fourth consecutive start after going 3-for-11 with a home run, a triple, two walks, three RBI and an additional run in his first three contests with the Pirates. He looks set to occupy the strong side of a platoon at first base with Connor Joe now that Carlos Santana and Ji-Man Choi are playing elsewhere in the aftermath of Tuesday's trade deadline.
