Kody Clemens 1B | MIN
Phillies' Kody Clemens: Sitting Saturday
Clemens will sit Saturday against the Nationals.
Clemens hits the bench against lefty MacKenzie Gore. Outside of a four-game stretch in the first half of June, Clemens has sat against every lefty the Phillies have faced this season. Even while getting the platoon advantage in the vast majority of his at-bats, the 27-year-old first baseman is hitting just .232/.279/.370. Alec Bohm slides to first base Saturday, with Edmundo Sosa starting at the hot corner.

Jake Cronenworth 1B | SD
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Sitting Saturday
Cronenworth will be on the bench for Saturday's game against Cincinnati, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Cronenworth finds himself on the bench for the second time in five games after sitting just twice in the first 78 games of the season. His season is trending in the wrong direction, as he finished April with a respectable .728 OPS but recorded a .665 OPS in May and a .557 OPS in June. Brandon Dixon, who owns a .662 OPS on the season himself, will get the nod at first base.

Dominic Smith 1B | ATL
Nationals' Dominic Smith: Three hits in Friday's win
Smith went 3-for-4 in Friday's win over the Phillies.
All the Nationals' offense came on a two-run homer by Stone Garrett in a 2-1 victory, but Smith did his best to keep the line moving. The first baseman has gone 7-for-16 (.438) over the last four games, but his .265/.333/.331 slash line on the season with only three homers and 18 RBI in 77 contests gives him little fantasy value even in deeper formats despite his everyday role.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Pirates' Carlos Santana: Plays hero Friday
Santana went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and a walk-off two-run home run in Friday's 8-7 win over the Brewers.
The 37-year-old capped a three-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning by taking Matt Bush deep down the right-field line. Santana has caught fire at the end of June, reeling off four straight multi-hit games and going 10-for-18 (.556) with three doubles, three homers, five runs and six RBI. The surge has pushed his slash line on the year up to .247/.326/.421, giving him his highest OPS since 2019.

Spencer Steer 1B | CIN
Reds' Spencer Steer: Walks off Padres
Steer went 2-for-3 with two walks and a two-run home run in Friday's 7-5 extra-innings win over San Diego.
Steer was the last of several Cincinnati heroes on the day. He walked off the Padres with a two-run shot in the bottom of the 11th, his third homer in the last six games. The rookie third baseman finished off a strong month of June in which he posted a .270/.411/.494 line with five homers, five doubles and 20 RBI over 27 games.

Matt Olson 1B | ATL
Braves' Matt Olson: Homers twice, drives in five
Olson went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a triple, five RBI and four runs scored in Friday's win over Miami.
Olson knocked two of Atlanta's six homers in the huge victory, including a two-run shot in the first inning. After a slow start to the month, he ended June on a tear; the 29-year-old slugger slashed .310/.364/.589 with 11 long balls over the last 17 games of the month. He's up to an NL-leading 28 home runs with 67 RBI and a .924 OPS through 366 plate appearances.

Wilmer Flores 1B | SF
Giants' Wilmer Flores: Goes yard Friday
Flores went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Mets.
Flores was able to do some damage in the series opener versus his former team. This was his first start since returning from a foot injury Tuesday. The infielder is up to eight home runs, 24 RBI, 21 runs scored and a .255/.318/.460 slash line through 55 contests this season. He was in a bench role for much of June prior to the injury, and he'll likely continue to be a short-side platoon option.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Gets aboard three times
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a double, two walks, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 9-3 win over the Royals.
Freeman's performance Friday pushed him up to a .401 OBP, making him one of eight players in the majors north of .400. The first baseman has gone 8-for-21 (.381) over his last five games while tallying six RBI in that span. He's batting .320 with a .944 OPS, 14 home runs, 53 RBI, 65 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, 28 doubles and a triple through 81 games this season, numbers that would likely be good enough to put him in the NL MVP conversation in a year when Ronald Acuna wasn't threatening to re-write the record book.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Marlins' Yuli Gurriel: Available off bench Friday
Gurriel (face) is expected to be available off the bench Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Gurriel took an errant groundball to his right cheek during pregame fielding drills Thursday in Boston and had to be scratched from the Marlins' lineup, but he suffered no fractures and reported feeling good ahead of Friday night's series opener in Atlanta. Garrett Cooper is getting the start at first base versus the NL East leaders.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Back in lineup
Cooper (illness) is starting at first base Friday against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Cooper was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to illness, but it seems the issue has now subsided. The 32-year-old has been on a tear at the plate recently, batting .444 (12-for-27) with two homers and eight RBI across a seven-game hitting streak.
