Alonso went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 11-4 loss to the Cardinals.

Alonso bashed his 33rd home run of the season in the second inning off Jon Lester before being robbed of a three-run homer by the glove of Lars Nootbaar in the seventh. Shockingly, the homer is just the 10th that Alonso has hit at home this season. He's running out of chances to put smiles on the faces of Mets faithful in 2021, as the club has just seven home games remaining.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a single, double, homer, three runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 11-4 win over the Mets.

Goldschmidt fell a three-bagger shy of the cycle Wednesday but nonetheless racked up some impressive numbers. The 34-year-old has absolutely killed the Mets this season, as he's hit .370 with three home runs in seven games against New York.

Bell went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a double in Wednesday's 8-6 loss to Miami.

The first baseman appeared to provide insurance for Washington in the eighth inning, but closer Kyle Finnegan imploded in the ninth inning. Bell has recorded three multi-hit efforts in 15 games in September, batting 15-for-54 (.278) this month. He's up to 27 homers, 83 RBI, 66 runs scored and a .256/.333/.489 slash line in 501 plate appearances overall.

Cronenworth (finger) is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Giants, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

It was reported Tuesday that Cronenworth isn't expected to return until at least Friday's series opener against the Cardinals, so it's not a surprise to see him sidelined for a fifth straight game Wednesday. Fernando Tatis will continue to work at shortstop in his absence, while Jurickson Profar starts in right field.

Freeman went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Freeman opened up the scoring for Atlanta with an RBI base hit in the first. He would walk his next time up and then notched his second triple of the season in the eighth and later scored on a home run by Adam Duvall. The lefty slugger has at least a hit in 10 of 12 games so far in September and has had multi-hit efforts in five of his last seven contests. The 31-year-old continues to be one of the toughest outs in baseball. He's slashing .298/.392/.515 with 30 homers, 78 RBI, 108 runs scored, eight steals and 77:95 BB:K over 620 innings.

Rivas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Phillies.

Rivas took Philadelphia starter Kyle Gibson deep in the fifth inning for his first MLB home run in his 13th career game. The 25-year-old made his second straight start Tuesday and should see increased playing time in the outfield moving forward with Jason Heyward (concussion) landing on the 7-day injured list. Rivas posted an .816 OPS at Triple-A this year across 58 games and is worth a look if he's able to carry over some success in the majors.

Cronenworth (finger) is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Giants and isn't expected to return until the weekend series versus the Cardinals, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Cronenworth isn't expected to require a trip to the injured listed due to the small fracture on his left ring finger, but he's unlikely to be available for a few more days, though he did take batting practice Tuesday. Fernando Tatis will remain at shortstop for the Friars while Jurickson Profar receives a start in left field.

Rivas is starting in right field Tuesday against the Phillies.

Rivas will draw his second consecutive start and should be in line for increased playing time in the outfield after Jason Heyward (concussion) was placed on the 7-day injured list Tuesday. The 25-year-old made his major-league debut Aug. 29 and has hit .280 with a double, five runs and an RBI in 12 appearances since then.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, a stolen base, two runs scored and two RBI in Monday's 7-0 win over the Mets.

The 34-year-old put together a line reminiscent of his prime, as he launched a solo shot off Rich Hill in the fifth inning then swiped a bag in the ninth. Goldschmidt is now up to 25 homers on the year, the sixth time in his career he's reached that plateau, and his 12 steals are his highest total since he racked up 18 in 2017.

Cronenworth (finger) remains on the bench Monday against the Giants.

Cronenworth is expected to avoid the injured list despite the fact that he's dealing with a small fracture on his left ring finger. He'll remain on the bench for the third straight game, with Fernando Tatis again serving as the shortstop.
